Describe the bug
Thanks to help from Steve and Paul, we were able to figure out the issue with the var table precheck for input variables. If the tilt input variable is not specified as a required variable in the pvsamv1 var table, the variable will not pass through the precheck when the simulation is run. This highlights the importance of checking the constraints and requirement statements within the var tables (added as a pre-release checklist item), but also raises the question of whether or not this is intended behavior for our precheck procedures for input variables. Should any variable that is defined, regardless of if it is required or not, be checked in the precheck process? Would be curious to get the team’s thoughts on what the ideal precheck process would be and any additional thoughts in this area.
Expected behavior
