Adding a new module to create a Kubernetes Secret (kubernetes_secret_v1) with dynamic provider configuration. It securely handles credentials by fetching them from a target cluster, supporting both variable-provided and data-source-fetched tokens and CA certificates.

Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request adds a new security module designed to manage Kubernetes secrets in GKE environments. It provides a robust way to handle sensitive data by integrating with existing cluster infrastructure, allowing users to either automatically fetch necessary authentication details or provide them explicitly for custom deployment scenarios.

Highlights

  • New Module Addition: Introduced a new Terraform module 'kubernetes-secret' to facilitate the creation of Kubernetes secrets within GKE clusters.
  • Dynamic Configuration: Implemented flexible provider configuration that supports both automated data source lookups and manual overrides for cluster credentials.

Code Review

This pull request introduces a new Terraform module for managing Kubernetes secrets within a GKE cluster. The module is well-structured but requires several adjustments to align with best practices and repository standards. Key feedback includes registering the new module in the global modules/README.md index, removing the internal provider block to allow for better module composition, and clarifying variable descriptions regarding expected formats for the cluster endpoint and CA certificate. Additionally, the Terraform version constraint should be relaxed from a specific patch version to a broader range to ensure compatibility.
