When a user currently runs a too old Matlab version (e.g., the 2016 default version on older AMC servers), the error is:

This is unclear to the user. So I suggest just testing the Matlab version at the beginning of ExploreASL

• Add Matlab version check in ExploreASL_Initialize

How to test

• Initialize ExploreASL with a Matlab version older than R2019a
• Initialize ExploreASL with a Matlab version R2019a or newer
