Not in sync with master so reports as if it makes changes in #527 as well.
But rergardless, looks alright to me.
Tested locally and works on an transformers>=4.45.0. The exception looked kind of unrelated at lower versions though.
Regardless, that's probably fine since #522 restricts transformers>=4.48.0.

AutoModelfrom_pretrainedbeing passed the extra named arg
