I am in the middle of a massive picspam about the Civil War trailer that will likely take me the rest of the weekend so who knows if I'll get to post it. *growls at stupid detached retina*

But the Marvel Logo animation that leads the trailer - WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE MARVEL LOGO SHOTS???

I am once again early voting like last presidential electon. This time with Mom as we are going to Disney this weekend for her bday.

This year's line is a whimp compared to last election, but that may be because we on a weekday. Last time I was here on a Saturday. It helps. We are only going to be a couple of hours. See previous posts about Floridians not letting lines win.

We dropped Rocky off before coming here. The office staff were all happy to see him as he's so mellow and he barely even noticed I was leaving. LOL.

For some reason Summer Camp is getting tons of hits lately and I'm getting questions about the story, sequels, or other wee!chester fic. I can't keep track of it all in the comments — SEVEN PAGES. THERE ARE SEVEN PAGES! SQUEE!!!! — so as pretentious as it makes me feel, I'm making a post of Summer Camp FAQ. *facepalm*

I don't know about world peace - we are not peaceful by nature. A place where no one ever kills another person out of anger or greed?  No, I don't think you can eliminate "asshole" from humanity without fundamentally changing what it means to be human.  I don't know that I would want it for that price.

But a world without war - might be reached if we put our minds to ending hunger the way we did going to the moon.  I'd give up the concept of perfect peace and utopia if it meant we get rid of the other extreme - world war.

In 2004, I got out of debt and was able to buy a cruise to Alaska for me and Mom.  Mom and I have had money issues and life is not how Mom pictured it would be.  But she has always wanted to go to Alaska. It's funny because she has asthma and problems being in the cold and suffers from motion sickness.  So, of course, what she wanted most was a cruise to Alaska.

I surprised her in November with the trip.  We went in May 2005 for my birthday.  All her life, she'd seen this train wandering along the Yukon Trail.  We rode it.
