All-in-One DevOps Platform — No Tool Sprawl, No Glue Code

One platform. One login. One bill. Here’s what that means for your team:

Plan and Ship Without Switching Tools

Agile boards, issue tracking, milestones, and reporting—all connected to your code. No more syncing Jira to GitHub. See how we compare to Jira.

Host Your Code on Your Terms

Built-in Git and Subversion with full control over where your repos live—cloud, on-prem, or air-gapped. See how we compare to GitHub.

Ship Quality Code Faster

Code reviews, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines in one place. Commits link to tickets automatically—no plugins required.

Keep Knowledge Where Work Happens

Wikis and docs live alongside your projects, not in a separate tool with separate permissions. See how we compare to Confluence.

Communicate in Context

Team chat tied directly to projects and commits. No more “which Slack channel was that in?” moments.

Manage Files Without the Chaos

Version-controlled document management for releases, specs, and deliverables—with audit trails built in.

Replace your fragmented toolchain with one unified experience.

“We replaced four separate collaboration tools with GForge and cut our annual costs by 30%.”
— Financial Services Enterprise
“Finally, a platform our security team approved for air-gapped deployment without months of back-and-forth.”
— Defense Contractor

Built to Last

GForge has been around longer than most DevOps platforms—and that’s no accident.

We started as a fork of SourceForge, back when it was the home for open-source innovation. While the industry chased flashy tools and buzzwords, we kept doing what we do best: helping real teams build real software.

Over the years, we’ve adapted to every shift—from on-prem to cloud, from agile boards to continuous delivery. Longevity taught us something most vendors never learn: tools come and go, but trust, reliability, and service never go out of style.

We’re proud to be the opposite of “big and distant.” Working with GForge feels like doing business in a small town—where people know your name, take your call, and genuinely care about your success.

“In a world full of faceless platforms, we’ve built something different—a tool made by humans, for humans.”

The People Behind GForge

Led by a small, experienced team who’ve spent decades building collaboration tools for developers.

Tony Bibbs, President and Owner of GForge

Tony Bibbs built GForge from open-source roots into a global collaboration platform.

Tony Bibbs

President & Owner, The GForge Group

Tony is the Owner and President of GForge, a veteran software platform born from open-source innovation and refined over more than two decades helping teams deliver better software.

Open-source leadership Led Geeklog CMS, mentored via Google Summer of Code
Public-sector impact Modernized critical systems at State of Iowa
Deep engineering roots Embedded software at Rockwell for GPS receivers
Customer-driven product Many features began as customer suggestions
More About Tony

Tony’s path to GForge ran through consulting (Norstan), product and community work (Geeklog), entrepreneurship (Apteno L.C.; Iowa Outdoors—grown to 1M+ monthly page views and later acquired), and public service (State of Iowa—architecture, payments, identity, and emergency response systems).

Since acquiring and leading GForge, Tony has focused on integration by design: one platform for planning, code, reviews, CI, docs, and artifacts—without brittle glue code. He pairs this with human support: guided setup, training, and workflow tailoring.

Tony holds a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa and lives in the Des Moines Metro.
