  • A global network: Facilitating connections between German companies and local contacts in resource-rich countries to business and politics to foster business relations.
  • Platform for Collaboration: Facilitating exchanges between German companies and institutions abroad as well as in Germany and Europe, fostering valuable partnerships on the topic of raw materials.
  • Support for Market Entry: Offering hands-support to German companies, particularly SMEs, by helping them enter new markets, identify and assess business partners, and navigate complex geopolitical and regulatory landscapes with reference to raw materials.
  • Events: Organizing a variety of events, including seminars, B2B meetings, and Digital Roadshows, providing firsthand insights into resource-rich countries.

Who are we?

The German Mining & Resources Network consists of eight international Competence Centres for Mining and Mineral Resources located at the respective bilateral German Chambers (AHKs) in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ghana, Peru, Southern Africa plus AHK Central Asia and the German-Mongolian Business Association.

Main network partners are the German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA) and the Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI). The Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) located in Berlin has a coordinating role for the network. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) funds the network.

Our cooperating partners have a diverse background in Mining and Resources starting from the private sector, associations to research institutes.
