Undergraduate Foundation Programme
The Foundation Programme in International Relations and Diplomacy is a one-semester academic pathway designed for recent high school graduates and students seeking a strong foundation in international relations, diplomacy and global affairs before entering a Bachelor's degree. Study in Geneva, engage with international institutions, and develop the academic and practical skills needed to thrive in higher education and beyond.
Programme Overview
The Foundation Programme in International Relations and Diplomacy is an intensive one-semester programme designed for students seeking to build a strong academic foundation before progressing to undergraduate studies in international relations, diplomacy, and related fields.
Based in Geneva, students benefit from direct exposure to the world’s largest concentration of international organisations, diplomatic missions, and non-governmental organisations, creating a learning environment that extends beyond the classroom and into the heart of international affairs.
The programme combines academic rigour with practical engagement, introducing students to key concepts in international relations, diplomacy, global affairs, and academic skills development. Students develop critical thinking, communication, and research skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the political, economic, and legal dimensions of international cooperation.
