As a mother of four, choosing whom to trust to shape the mind, spirit and character of my children in my daily absence was a decision that weighed heavy on my heart as a parent. The gravity and importance of deciding where to educate my children was a decision not made lightly. GCA has been a great experience for my children and my family. GCA has fostered an environment where my children actually enjoy going to school, they have found a deeper connection with religion, and they have developed new skills in music. GCA has been great with creating a community where parents can be active in school involvement and helping with projects. My family is thankful that we’ve been able to be a part of this school.
I had the honor of being asked to judge the thesis presentations for the Junior/Senior Rhetoric class at Genesis Classical Academy. The presenters defended a position on a choice of topics and then were challenged by the judges through a series of spontaneous questions. I was greatly impressed by the students’ grasp of their topics, but more so by their ability to defend their position with questions from adults with advanced degrees. The students’ logic and poise were something I had not witnessed from college students. I highly recommend GCA if you want to see your sons and daughters be prepared for life unlike any typical academic program. I witnessed the product of their instruction and was greatly impressed.
We are so grateful to have a school in our community that challenges our kids to be their best. Not only are they gaining a solid education in all the subjects, but they are also developing a Christian mindset and many positive character traits to last a lifetime. We also appreciate how the staff and volunteers of Genesis treat everyone like family.
GCA has been a tremendous blessing to our family. Having tried both homeschool and public school with our children, we love the fit of a small Christian school. The teachers and staff are excellent. They care for the children and work hard to provide an exemplary learning environment for them. It is so important to us that our children get a good, solid education. And it is even more important to us that they learn to be good people who know God and see His hand in all parts of their lives and learning. Genesis Classical Academy is a school that provides all of those things.
We have been so happy to have our kids at Genesis Classical Academy for the past few years. The school has met each of our kids where they are and helped them grow not only academically, but also morally and socially. Our children enjoy going to school and have found a great group of friends.
GCA is the best! It is refreshing to see the respect children are taught, not only for each other and the Genesis staff, but also for community members, parents, grandparents, and our military veterans. Children across grade levels work and learn together in many ways, fostering a very close-knit student body. It is heartwarming to see how the older students care for their underclassmen. My young children look up to the older students, and I could not ask for better role models.
Genesis has also played an important role in the Christian foundation we are working to build in our children’s lives. Listening to my kids pray and sing to God openly and passionately at such a young age is priceless. We have never regretted our decision to enroll our children at GCA. It has been worth every penny!
In times of uncertainty, it is a comfort to be steadfast in God’s Word and Truth. One of the greatest things about Genesis Classical Academy is knowing our students are learning and growing up with the foundation of God’s Word. As a grandparent, I pray for my grandchildren and all of our students to have good health, protection, and for Jesus to work in their hearts. The staff at GCA is also focused on teaching these students not only the basics and fundamentals, but the core values and principles they will need to have success in life. Staff and students respect the flag, our country, our veterans, and mostly, our God. What a treasure this school is, and what a blessing to know it is growing! Thank you God for this blessing and may GCA continue to impact our families, students, communities, and world with the love of our Lord and Savior!
We believe Genesis Classical Academy is the best school for our grandchildren! Our grandchildren are being taught to respect and honor the Lord, their parents, the church, the law of the land, and their country. They are being taught to have values and to stand firmly on those values. They are also being taught that they are responsible for what they do, and how they do it. Genesis Classical Academy is one of the very important tools in that training and teaching, along with their parents, grandparents, church, and community. These children are destined to grow up and be the new leaders of the church, the state, and of our great nation.
I was asked to share what I like about volunteering at GCA. The answer is, quite simply, everything. I enjoy seeing the joy on children’s faces and their laughter when they are having fun at recess or playing games in PE. The smiles, high fives, and waves of recognition from the students I see regularly, hearing their news and having them share the happenings of their lives is priceless. I enjoy working with students and seeing their growth and improvement from one time to the next. I have observed how much the staff put into their jobs and are there for the students—it is a true calling. I am grateful and privileged to volunteer at GCA and be a part of the wonderful community they have created.
