OUR JOURNEY
Genesis Space Flight Laboratories grew out of more than a decade of research in portable laboratory systems and microchip electrophoresis at the Genoplant Research Institute.
In 2025, Genesis participated in the MAYASAT-1 mission aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-14, delivering biological payloads to Sun-Synchronous Orbit (~620 km). This mission directly contributed to the development of the GEN reentry capsule platform.
FACILITIES & GROUND SEGMENTS
Genesis Space Flight Laboratories j.d.o.o. operates from its Croatian base at the Technology Innovation Centre Međimurje, where GEN reentry capsules and host satellites are developed and assembled in-house.
Our facilities support rapid prototyping and system-level integration, including PCB laboratories, polymer and metal additive manufacturing, and mechanical workshops.
Mission operations are supported by a primary ground station in Croatia and a backup station operated in cooperation with the BME Radio Club in Budapest, providing two-way communication, redundancy, and real-time mission control.
