In other news, this has been the worst week ever (weeks? last week sucked too), but listening to this COMPLETELY AWESOME MASHUP on repeat has made it more bearable.

I've been suffering from writer's block for the last two weeks (or possibly longer), not for any particular reason, just... you know, sometimes it happens. I know the only way to fix writer's block is to just force yourself to write, so I've been doing that, but I still feel like I'm puking uninspired words into Notepad. Gah. I crawled off and stopped writing for a week, which didn't help at all, so... PERSEVERE. sob.

Things which won't help with my writer's block: I was reminded today that FFVII was in the PlayStation Store and is playable on the PSP, but I'd resolved not to buy it until I beat one of my current games, since I already buy too many games I don't finish. But I looked at the store today and saw that Metal Gear Solid was up now and askdjskljds. MGS1 on my PSP. OMG.

Ten dollars. I really don't need to buy it because I already have MGS1, but... ON MY PSP. ;_;

OH and I meant to post about this earlier but it fell into my writer's block period and I was like meh but I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!!! Five years after I first got my learner's but WHATEVER, I PASSED, I CAN GO PLACES ALL BY MYSELF AND I HAVE A SWEET CAR. I am... admittedly still somewhat terrified of driving but the achievement is still thrilling. ;3;

IN OTHER NEWS, I've plowed through the first season of Code Geass (I've been watching it on the bus, which led me to going NO NO NO NO NO ;___; at my iTouch in public, THANKS CG) and plan to finish R2 next week. Persona 4 has been beaten and is due for a replay. Uhhhhh what else. I really have done nothing of value lately.

Oh, I've really been enjoying damned, despite posting slower than molasses. It's been awhile since I've properly RPed. 8D I'm starting to feel more comfortable with writing Otacon, and I suspect I won't really feel comfortable until I've made myself replay 4 at least another two times but that is... stressful, so I'll just keep letting myself agonize over characterization. |D But Snake and Otacon's awkward meeting/reunion has been sad and delightful and other pairs of conflicting words, while Kaworu and Otacon's adventure has been... well, the same description applies, really. I wish I could be more eloquent about this. :[ THE IMPORTANT PART is that I'm remembering now what I loved about RP, and just being able to get enthusiastic about a game again has been really nice. So thank you everyone who's played with me or talked to me or just generally made me feel welcome. It means a lot. ♥

Yesterday, it started raining while the sun was still shining brightly, so from my perspective, it looked rather bizarrely like someone had unleased a giant sprinkler over the entire restaurant. My first thought OF COURSE was of the Kojima Productions page, and I was glad to wake up this morning and see that the sun had come out there too.

I am almost done with the first season of Code Geass asdhskjdhskjdh holy CRAP. And I'm trying to play Persona 4 as fast as I can, which would probably be faster if I wasn't so determined to max out all my social links the first time through (I had to replay a month to do the Justice link), and I am so emotionally involved, it is ridiculous. I would say more about my unreasonable "Whoa, calm down, Gemi, it's just a game" reactions but to say much would be a spoiler. IT'S BEEN AWHILE SINCE I PLAYED A GAME THIS GOOD. I started watching Fringe too, which I think has overtaken everything else as my current favourite TV show. Realizing that crazy dad Walter Bishop had the same actor as crazy dad Denethor only made my love multiply a thousandfold.

I WILL BE ACTIVE IN damned TODAY I SWEAR

LOOK AT WHAT hemachandra DREW FOR ME lol I am so lucky to have someone who indulges my insanity like this. ;3; She also drew this, which is SPECTACULAR (I want steal it from her and frame it on my wall :<), and also this piece of hotness here. She is terribly modest and will complain about the flaws in all of these, so please let her know that she's crazy. :>

Uhhh, in other news, I've been having some kind of horrible insomnia lately in which I only get about 3-4 hours of sleep a night, but I've been feeling better since yesterday. Part of it was anxiety about various things and part of it was wanting to sleep at more reasonable hours and another part was just something weird and subconscious. Once I get settled with all this, however, I hope to make a habit out of waking up early and not staying up late. I've been doing it for almost a week, and aside from the headaches and sleep-deprivation, I actually am enjoying it in a non-sarcastic way.

I also decided to install Photoshop (I'm a hardcore PSP user) now that my computer's been cleaned and can actually run PS without choking. There are a few really nice features in it, but I keep finding myself trying to do PSP things in it and frustrating the hell out of me when I realize it does something else or that PS requires two extra steps to do the same thing in PSP. LEARNING CURVE. I've found myself having both open at the same time and just copy-pasting images between them when I decide it would just be easier to do something in PSP. |D
