Gear Education is a boutique education technology firm based in Cyprus, founded to help schools and organizations use technology with clarity and purpose. As the island’s first Google for Education Partner, we bring global EdTech expertise to local communities, ensuring the technology that enters the classroom transforms it.
Founded in 2022 by educator and EdTech advocate Christina Shailas, Gear Education was born from a clear gap: schools across the region needed more than tools, they needed trusted guidance. Christina, a New York native with degrees from NYU and Columbia University, spent over a decade integrating technology into schools in both New York City and Limassol, working with more than 3,000 educators and students.
Integrating technology into the classroom should enable educators, not overwhelm them. We start by changing the culture, bringing educators into the process, helping them understand the ‘why,’ and making sure the tools support their vision for learning
Our growing team includes former educators, technology integration specialists, and technicians who work side-by-side with schools to rethink what’s possible. Whether it’s going paperless with 1:1 device programs, introducing 3D printers and laser cutters into the classroom, or supporting teacher training, we help schools make confident, future-ready changes, without losing sight of what matters most: the learner.
