The Geocentric Datum of Australia (GDA) is a coordinate system that accurately reflects the shape of the Earth. Its origin is located at the center of the Earth's mass, which is why it is referred to as "geocentric". In Queensland, the Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994 (GDA94) has replaced the previously used Australian Geodetic Datum 1984 (AGD84).
