For Lovers of Italian Food, Wine, & Culture!
Benvenuti tutti!
Italy and its food have always been my passion, my motivation, my sanctuary, and my joy. I feel lucky to have grown up in a family obsessed with Italian food and culture. My mother and grandmothers taught me to cook, but more importantly, they showed me that food is the most basic way to spread love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about, studying, chasing, sharing, and cooking Italian food. My love affair with Italy, and its food, wine and culture, has only deepened with time… So let me show you my Bella Italia!
For me, All Roads lead to Rome (and from there, the rest of Italy)! I started writing about Italian food with my Sunday Pasta blog back in 2009, and have since made about 400 recipes, and published the beautiful Sunday Pasta cookbook. I then published my original book project – Garrubbo Guide: The Importance of Eating Italian– just a few years ago. It took me ten years to finish because its goal was to be the only comprehensive handbook of Italian food, wine, and culture – 3,000 years in 250 fun-filled pages!
With my food tours, I hope to bring Italian food to life through culinary travel experiences. My goal is not only to educate people about the delicious food, and wine of Italy, but also about the “who, what, where and why” of la cucina Italiana. Everyone knows that Italian food tastes great, but it’s real magic lies in the people behind it. Of course, I didn’t make this up – as thousands of years and collaboration went into its creation -but I do feel a responsibility to serve as a storyteller and steward for its future.
So welcome to Garrubbo Guide – my way of sharing my passion for Italian food, wine, and travel. Please also visit SundayPasta.com for our collection of authentic recipes and wine pairings.
Buon Appetito e Buon Viaggio!
