2024/01/28 Update: A new version of the patch has been made, this one fixing quite a lot of things:
– a new save bug that crashes the game when you try to load a save made on a choice
– lots of typos discovered by the people of the AIR discord server but also by having used a spellchecker on the scripts
– more than 20 animations (shaking of the screen happening in certain situations) that were missing
– a few voice lines that were missing
– the names of some days appearing on the title bar and saves that weren’t consistent with the rest
– untranslated entries in the menu

On top of that, a new All Ages patch has been made. This kind of patch is useful if you want to remove the adult content from the VN.
An All Ages patch made by Takafumi already existed, but this patch was using the scripts from the Winter Confetti translation and wasn’t perfect.
This new patch:
– uses the scripts from the Gao Gao Translations
– uses censored CGs from the Memorial Edition and from the Vita version
– removes HCGs from the gallery and reorganize the censored CGs in the order of the story
– adapts the gallery percentage so that you can get 100% completion by just seeing all the CGs of the gallery

2023/09/11 Update: Many people have reported encountering a bug that makes their saves undetected by the game when they were using this English patch and a new patch has been made to resolve the issue. If you still encounter the bug, please use the PASTA patch.

2015/04/29 Update: Final patch released. A big great thanks to scorchio for making the final patch and putting an end to Misuzu’s curse on this project. And also a big thank you to the many faceless people, named and unnamed, which made this possible.

    • Thanks! I was browsing VNDB and noticed that AIR had a comple English patch. I didn’t think it would ever happen, gave up hoping many years ago, and never could get AGTH to hook properly for a partial understanding runthrough.

      Thanks also for the game + voice torrent. It’s been so long that I’ve misplaced my AIR SE disk and that didn’t have voicing IIRC, a huge disappointment at the time of purchase – another reason I didn’t try too hard to get AGTH to work.

      Now I’m off to play it for the first time. Hurrah!

    • You mean Haruko’s kansai-ben? Given that this patch might be read by English speakers from all parts of the world, I didn’t see a good reason to convert her way of speech to a particular dialect of a particular country, nor am I able to do so.

    • Hey, so could you explain this patch to me? Do I have to have a program to do this, or am I supposed to have the game already? I’m just kind of confused…

      • 1) You need to download the game iso link above and install the game using daemon tools or wincdemu.
        2) Switch your windows to Japanese locale in Control Panel > Region
        3) unzip patch and copy contents to the installed directory and it’ll overwrite some files
        Then you can play it in English.

        • Hi, can you explain to me how do I get this to work? I’ve downloaded the game iso link but have no idea how to get it to start.

        • I clicked on the link provided on this page and downloaded the “iso”. There is no iso anywhere in the download so I dunno how to make this work.
          Also, I installed wincdemu and it did nothing. Not sure if I was running it incorrectly, but I ran the exe and it let me pick a setting then it just did closed and did nothing.I tried using poweriso, but again, no iso to mount.

  5. I know there’s only one step, but I can’t for the life of me figure out where the air_se directory is lol. I think the game is installed because it runs fine, just in Japanese only. The air_se I see is .env and I can’t unzip into that.

    • It’s the main directory and if you installed the standard edition with voice, it should be named Air_SE by default.

  9. Wow, this is truly amazing. Thank you guys so much! I remember wanting to read this VN so bad around 4 years ago. Back then there was only an incomplete (dead) translation patch. To be perfectly honest I never thought I would see Air get fully translated. I guess patience really does pay off in the end.

  12. When I try to load the game at a save point the game crashes (bgm starts to play for a second then game crashes). I tried running the game in compatibility mode but then the saves don’t show up. I’m running win 7 64bit updated; jap locale; save files http://a.pomf.se/djjkre.zip; and i changed the default install location.

    • I kind of fixed it: I started a new game and it loaded the save (when I was trying from main screen it crashed).

      • Hey I found these 6 mistakes so far:

        First picture mistake, something is missing between “you” and “me”

        Second picture mistake, it should be “A shrine” not “An shrine”.

        Third picture mistake, at the beginning there is two “s instead of one.

        Fourth picture mistake, “y-o-u” is missng between “w-h-a-t” and “d-i-d*

        Fifth picture mistake, a “you” is missing between “made” and “appreciate” (and wouldnt it be more correct if it was “It was times like these that makes you appreciate the beauty of summer.”?)

        Sixth picture mistake, an “if” is missing between “thing” and “I”

      • Oh and by the way, this patch works with the Memorial Edition and to make the game completly all-age, you just need to add a few SEEN files, the pictures I posted are from the Memorial Edition.

            1. I installed Air Memorial Edition

            2. I installed Winter Confetti english patch

            3. I added Winter Confetti voice files

            4. I downloaded these files:

            • Thank you. I looked into the Winter confetti patch and found reallive.exe in the file. I’m not sure what version it is as I don’t have time to test it yet. But if that reallive.exe is the standard version, it will replace the memorial edition with the standard edition executable, thus literally turning it into the standard edition.

              The memorial edition runs at 800×600 in windows mode and the standard edition runs at 640×480 in windows mode. That’s an easy way to tell the two apart.

              When I have time I’ll test your method.

            • Yeah I am aware that it replaces it, I am not sure about windowed mode since I can test it now since its patched already, but according to https://vndb.org/r8855 even the Memorial Edition is 640×480, but I know that you have the option to choose different resolutions, unlike with the Standard Edition that only lets you choose between Full Screen and Windowed and running your patch whitout replacing the exe will result in the patch not working. But this is for people like me that picked up the Memorial Edition and would rather use the patch with that version instead of the 18+ 2005 version.

              So just saying, that if you want it is possible to do Memorial Edition + Voices + Gao Gao Translations.

            • Well, that’s pretty much pretending that you’re making use of your memorial copy, when in fact you aren’t, but overwriting the core components that makes it the memorial version. Like gutting a coconut of its juice and flesh, filling it with orange juice, and still pretending that you’re eating a real coconut. “Well, at least i’m still making use of my coconut, right?”

              But I have to blame Key for not making a full complete version with voice.

  15. Thank you for the patch, but I had two questions:

    1. What is the recommended font to use? My right now is set on “Arial”.

    2. Before (like a year ago or so) it was mentioned something about how the final patch would contain an option to toggle between all-ages and 18+, so was that implemented in this patch? If so, how do I toggle to all-ages?

    • Messer seemed to have set the default font to Verdana, but I’m using MS Gothic.

      Unfortunately, Messer has not come back yet, and he’s the one who was making the toggle. It doesn’t seem to be worth the effort to find another programmer to do the same thing. Therefore I decided to leave it.

  16. Hi guys,

    I’ve a little pb and i need your help :S

    First time i launch the game i did some saves and close the game, then after relaunching it, i could not see them in the loading screen.

    To fix that i tried to install the last patch and to replace the line #CAPTION=â€Air †in “GAMEEXE.INI” as said in the comments above but it just didn’t work.

    I don’t know what to do now :S

    • I change the font and save with if … and i see the save when relaunching it.
      So check the font if you have the same pb.
      (but you have to replay from the beginnig)

  18. After I’ve finished all three routes in Dream, Summer scenario haven’t unlocked. I then loaded the last save files for each heroine, skipped through already read parts without quitting the game and still nothing changed – does anyone have an idea what might be a problem?
    I’ve also uninstalled the beta translation patch and reinstalled (copied) current one, but that’s as far as my ideas regarding possible technical issue goes. Any help (or save file with Summer unlocked, I’m not picky) will be appreciated.

    • There are two endings in the Minagi route and you might want to check if you’ve obtained the true ending there.
      If you already have, I’m not sure what’s the problem. The Air savegame from the sagaoz website might unlock Summer and Air for you.

      • Turns out, I missed epilogue (or rather true ending) in Misuzu route. Had to go back to her route to do everything according to walkthrough, but it went quick. Now it’s Summer, so everything’s okay.
        But nevertheless, thanks for help.

  19. Hi, thank you very much for the fan translation but I’m having a problem.

    I downloaded and applied the patch and played for a month without any trouble, but then suddenly I started up the game and all of my saves were gone. Or specifically, they were inaccessible. CGs and music were still unlocked, and all files were still in the SAVEGAME folder, but if I choose “load game” I just get an empty list of saves.

    Can someone help me solve this problem? It’s happened twice now, both after I’d made significant progress and it’s REALLY frustrating.

    ran setup.exe and the installation stopped.
    what went wrong?
