Gammu is an open-source, cross-platform suite and C library for managing mobile phones and GSM/3G/4G modems. It provides command-line tools and APIs to send and receive SMS (including Unicode and multipart messages), manage and back up contacts, calendars, notes, and files, execute USSD, query device and network information, and automate messaging workflows. The included Gammu SMSD operates as a reliable SMS gateway with file and database back ends (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite) for integrated or high-volume deployments. Gammu supports a wide range of devices that use standard AT commands as well as several vendor-specific protocols (for example, Nokia FBUS/OBEX) over serial, USB, or Bluetooth connections.
