This journal is essentially friends-only. Not that there's anything top secret in here, and not that I have anything against non-LJ users; I'd just rather know who's reading.

You know the drill: you want to be able to read, just ask.

(After an interval, I'll be screening all new comments to this entry.)

1 hand or Give these handsome boys a hand

I'm pretty laissez-faire about my Livejournal friends list. As some of y'all may have noticed, I don't often spontaneously add new friends or take people off my flist.

A quick skim tonight revealed that as a result of this policy (or lack thereof), I tend to continue "following" journals long past the end of their natural lifespans. As in, there were many journals on my list that hadn't been updated in years.

So! Generally I don't care; there's no threshold of posting frequency that you have to clear in order to be judged Worthy of My Flist. But my life can be a little weird, honestly, and I'd just sort of prefer to know exactly who's reading about it. (Okay, something else y'all might've noticed: I also tend to be a little... organizationally compulsive, especially under stress. WITHOUT EXTREME SELF-IMPOSED ORDER, THE WORLD IS ALL DESIGNIFICATION AND CHAOS, GUYS. This can manifest in my needing A VERY TIDY FRIENDS LIST.) So I've taken some journals off my list-- but as of now, only journals that literally have gone without updates of any kind for over a year.

This is not personal at all! In fact, some of those journals belong(ed) to people with whom I've had a lot of great interactions in the past, or people whom I didn't know intimately but really, really enjoyed reading. If you've been on LJ hiatus for a long time and someday wander back this way, and still want to be able to read this journal (or don't mind my reading yours), please feel free to drop me a line. Chances are I think you're pretty cool and have missed hearing from you.

This journal's friending "policy," such as it is, remains the same as ever. I do still enjoy meeting new people, and am only friends-only out of a control-freakish need to police my self-expression? Or something. You can always comment to this post if you want to be LJ friends.

Okay. gamesiplay out.
