FutureX Startup Cult isn’t your typical hackathon. It’s a 48-hour online challenge where students, solo builders, and first-time founders turn raw ideas into real startups — fast.

No boring lectures. No recycled projects. Just you, optional teammates, hands-on mentors, and a ticking clock to bring your boldest idea to life.

Whether you’re into tech, design, content, or strategy — this is your launchpad. You’ll build something real, get direct feedback from startup mentors, and pitch your product to industry judges.

 

 

 

Requirements

What to Build

You can build any startup idea that solves a real-world problem — from a working prototype to an MVP. While you’re free to innovate in any domain, we encourage startups in these high-impact areas:

  • AgriTech & Food Security

  • Healthcare & Biotech

  • Climate & Clean Energy

  • Education & SkillTech

  • DeepTech for Bharat

  • Cybersecurity & Digital Trust

The goal is to build something meaningful, even if it's an early version.

What to Submit

Your Devpost submission should include:

  1. Project Title + One-Line Tagline

  2. Short Description

    • Problem you’re solving

    • Target audience

    • What makes your idea unique

  3. Demo Video (2–4 mins)

    • Walkthrough of your product (screen recording is fine)

  4. Team Info

    • Names + roles of each member

  5. Tech Stack Used

  6. GitHub Repo or Working Demo (if available)

You don’t need a polished product — just show that you built, learned, and executed in 48 hours.

Judging Criteria

  • Innovation
    How unique and creative is the solution? Is it solving a real-world problem in a new and exciting way?
  • Impact
    How much potential does the startup have to make a positive impact? Does it address a significant issue in one of the preferred categories (e.g., AgriTech, HealthTech, Climate, etc.)?
  • Execution
    How well is the idea executed? Is the project functional, well-designed, and ready to scale? Does it showcase technical and business development skills?
  • Presentation
    How effectively is the project communicated? Does the demo video clearly explain the concept, its value proposition, and how it works?
