When You Graduate, You Won't Be On Your Own

The FDN Program gives you the skills. The Association of FDN Professionals (AFDNP) gives you a community of practitioners, clinical advisors, and business mentors who have your back as you build your practice.

This is what ongoing support looks like after certification.

What Happens After You Graduate?

One of the biggest concerns we hear from people considering the FDN Program:

"What happens when I finish? Will I be on my own?"

The answer is no. Not even close.

When you complete the FDN Program, you're eligible to join the Association of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Professionals (AFDNP), our graduate community that's been supporting practitioners since 2016.

72% of FDN graduates choose to join.

Why? Because building a practice is easier when you have clinical advisors to consult, business mentors who've done it before, and a community of peers who understand exactly what you're building.

Here's what that support looks like.

A Community That Gets It

Facebook group icon

Your Facebook Group Family

The heart of AFDNP is a private Facebook group where practitioners ask questions, share wins, troubleshoot cases, and support each other daily.

Got a question about a marker that doesn't match your client's symptoms? Post it and get responses within 20-30 minutes. Want to see how other FDNs handled a similar situation? Search the archives going back to 2016.

Clinical advisors are active in the group. FDN staff members check in regularly. And you'll find practitioners at every stage, from brand new graduates to six and seven-figure practice owners, all willing to help.

Members consistently say the Facebook group alone is worth the membership.

Real Connections, Real Support

Being an entrepreneur can feel isolating. You're often working alone, behind a screen, figuring things out as you go.

AFDNP changes that.

You'll build relationships with practitioners who understand the challenges you're facing because they're facing them too. You'll celebrate wins together, troubleshoot problems together, and remind each other why you started this work in the first place.

Some members have been part of this community since 2016. Others joined this morning. That mix of experience creates something special.

Clinical Support When You Need It

Detective Hour: Learn From Real Cases

One of the most popular features in AFDNP is Detective Hour. Here's how it works:

A member submits a tricky case they're working on. A clinical advisor walks through it live, on camera, while other members watch and learn.

It's like getting a clinical advising session for free, with the added benefit of learning from cases you might encounter yourself.

Members love Detective Hour because everyone learns, whether you submitted the case or you're just watching. You see how experienced practitioners think through complex situations in real time.

Peer to Peer Roundtables

Twice a month, members gather for open-forum discussions with clinical advisors. Bring your questions about test results, protocols, supplements that aren't working, or your own health journey.

These sessions are casual and conversational. You'll get guidance from advisors who've built successful practices themselves, and you'll hear from other practitioners navigating similar challenges.

Quick Answers in the Group

For simpler questions, the Facebook group is your first stop. See a marker you weren't expecting? Not sure if a symptom correlates with what you're seeing on a lab? Post your question and get community input quickly.

Clinical advisors are in the group (though for complex cases, they'll point you toward Detective Hour or a formal advising session).

The goal is simple: you should never feel stuck or alone when working with a client.

Business Training From People Who've Done It

Monday Mastermind

Every week, AFDNP hosts a business call where you can get help with the practical stuff:

  • Finding your niche
  • Identifying your target audience
  • Building a lead magnet
  • Structuring your offers
  • Getting your first clients

The calls are hosted by the AFDNP Director and Raewyn Guerrero, a business mentor who's been in FDN since 2018 and built her own successful online practice.

Learn From Six and Seven-Figure Practitioners

The AFDNP community includes practitioners who've built thriving practices at every level. They're generous with their knowledge.

Want to know how someone landed their first client within three months of graduating? There's a webinar for that. Curious how Jen Malecha turned her FDN training into a multiple six-figure business? She's taught workshops inside AFDNP.

The Strictly Business webinar library gives you access to years of business training from practitioners who've been where you're headed.

A Growing Job Board

Not everyone wants to build their own practice from scratch. Some graduates prefer to work with established practitioners or clinics.

AFDNP maintains an exclusive job board where doctors, chiropractors, and successful FDN practitioners post opportunities. The board is growing quickly, from just a couple of postings per month to four to six and climbing.

Notable: The Health Institute (Dr. Axe's company) now recruits almost exclusively from FDN.

Types of opportunities you'll see:

  • Experienced FDNs hiring practitioners to help them scale
  • Doctors and chiropractors adding functional testing to their clinics
  • Health coaching companies seeking FDN-trained professionals

Your Education Doesn't Stop at Graduation

Partner Education Sessions

Lab companies and supplement partners come into AFDNP to train members on new developments. When a lab updates a marker or launches a new test, you'll hear about it directly from the source.

This saves you from constantly researching what's new in the industry. The education comes to you.

Natural Medicine Database (Included)

As a practitioner, you'll recommend supplements. But what if your client is on medications?

AFDNP membership includes access to the Natural Medicine Database, a professional tool that checks supplement-medication interactions. Before you make a recommendation, you can verify there are no known conflicts.

This database costs $200/year if purchased independently. It's included with your AFDNP membership.

Advanced Course Discounts

Ready to specialize? AFDNP members get 20% off all FDN Advanced Courses and Lecture Packages. During major sales like Black Friday, that discount jumps to 40%.

Your learning journey continues long after graduation, and AFDNP makes it more affordable.

Get Found by Clients

AFDNP members have the option to join the FDN Practitioner Directory, which lives on the main FDN website.

When potential clients search for an FDN practitioner in their area (or online), the directory is where they look. It's a simple way to get in front of people who are already interested in working with someone trained in the FDN methodology.

(The directory is an additional $99/year for those who want to be listed.)
