About the challenge
This spring, we are launching the Fuel the Future Hackathon, a student innovation challenge focused on developing scalable solutions to address malnutrition in underserved communities. The event is a 24–48 hour innovation sprint where students collaborate in teams to design practical, scalable solutions to real-world malnutrition challenges.
Requirements
What to Build
Projects may include food redistribution systems, micronutrient fortification models, culturally relevant meal access platforms, AI-based risk prediction tools, or community-centered education initiatives.
Submission Requirements
- Your solution must be either software or hardware
- If your solution is hardware, then you must submit a pitch and a detailed plan of how your solution works + submit a drawn prototype
- If your solution is software, all of your code needs to be public on GitHub and you should submit the GitHub link + submit a demo video
- Your solution must be scalable and be able to be piloted in areas that suffer from malnutrition
- Think about the constraints that areas lacking malnutrition usually have!
- Include in your pitch/demo video the research that you did about the issue and why you solve
