Associate Director of Education and Credentialing

Colleen Whitaker is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with over a decade of experience providing both direct and supervisory services across a wide range of ages and settings. She began implementing Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) while working as a special education teacher and Program Supervisor in a non-public school setting. There, she supported children, adolescents, and young adults with severe problem behavior, with an emphasis on developing functional communication and life skills.

In 2018, Colleen started an Early Intervention clinic focused on building learner readiness and preschool skills. Her team integrated PFA and SBT as the foundation for treatment, using the process to meaningfully access developmental curricula such as PEAK, VB-MAPP, and others. In this role, she also gained experience navigating the clinical and administrative aspects of insurance-based ABA services, including documentation, treatment authorization, and outcome reporting.

Currently, Colleen serves as the Associate Director of Credentialing at FTF Behavioral Consulting. She works closely with Alexandra Beckwith, Director of Credentialing. Together, they work to increase consumer confidence by verifying professionals’ training and experience through a structured credentialing system. Their efforts help connect credentialed professionals with clients, organizations, and others seeking high-quality training and support in the PFA and SBT process.
