One Hundred Things I Saw On My Way #4

This evening I saw something greyish through the window, bumping along on our lawn, disappearing out of sight behind the wall of our house. At first I thought it was an odd bird or a rabbit walking in a funny way (I just saw a flash really, I do know my animals!) but it turned out to be this little guy:


on my way from the veranda to the living room - 17th of July 2012, around 9 pm


It walked right by our backdoor to sniffle at some shoes, nibble at one and get into two of them.



My sister, parents and I watched it crawl back out, but when it went into the direction of the corner where my Dad put some rat poison a while ago, my Dad stepped outside and gently put it on a dustpan and took it to the backyard.



This is not the first time we spotted a hedgehog in our yard, but it had been a while. AND OBVIOUSLY EGELINO (SHUT UP, IT GOT A NAME, OK?) IS THE MOST ADORABLE THING TO BE EVER ADORABLE.
