Frost Valley is a fun merge game where you control Chloe, a young woman who, after catching her husband cheating on her, decides to leave him and take her two daughters with her. The problem is that now, not only does she have no money and is living in a house that's falling apart, but her evil ex-husband is trying to make her life impossible and take away her custody.

A very dramatic story

It's already a cliché that the stories in this genre of game are incredibly dramatic, with characters who are down on their luck and in very extreme situations. And that's exactly the case with Frost Valley. Chloe, the main character, is at her limit. She will have to work to earn money to fix the house where she lives alone with her two young daughters. And, as if this weren't enough, from time to time, her ex-husband will show up, threatening her and trying to make her life miserable.

Merge foods to upgrade them

The gameplay in Frost Valley will be familiar to you if you have ever played a merge game or other similar title. You'll have to combine different elements, such as breads or cookies, to create higher-level objects, such as sponge cakes or muffins. By doing this, you'll have to complete all the orders from the people who come to the café where Chloe works. The coins and hammers that you earn from this will allow you to repair the various damages in the house. First, you'll have to fix the door, then the wall, and then the rest of the home.

My thoughts on Frost Valley

I actually really got into the story of Chloe and her daughters. The gameplay is very familiar and offers nothing new compared to other similar games, but Chloe's adventures and misfortunes really drew me in. That's the only thing that makes me want to keep playing.

The best and the worst of Frost Valley

• What I like most about Frost Valley is its story and characters. Chloe is lovely, but her husband is an evil, awful person.

What I like least about Frost Valley is that the game can become very repetitive very quickly.
