Peplink is a global leader in SD-WAN technology, specializing in reliable connectivity through solutions like SpeedFusion, cellular bonding and cloud-based management with InControl2.
All Peplink products are divided into three main categories: Blue-Chip, Velocity and Volume-Based Series.
SmartCare is a subscription available for Blue Chip models only. SmartCare includes all the listed features of EssentialCare, plus advance hardware replacement. This means that in case of an RMA, a new replacement will be shipped the next business day.
PrimeCare is a subscription available for selected devices. These devices have specific models with part numbers ending in -PRM to indicate compatibility with PrimeCare.
PrimeCare includes InControl2, warranty with standard RMA, FusionHub licence, SpeedFusion bonding and SpeedFusion Cloud Usage. These features are not available separately for PrimeCare products.
Peplink’s PepVPN is the patented VPN technology on which SpeedFusion is based. It is ideal for setting up a secure tunnel over any WAN Connection and is possibly the world’s easiest machine-to-machine VPN technology.
InControl is Peplink’s cloud-based management platform. When connected to your devices, it collects data to generate useful reports on all aspects of your network. On a single screen, you can push configurations to all your hardware. With InControl, you can save configuration time, stay updated on the status of your network and proactively troubleshoot problems quickly and accurately.
In the event of an outage, SpeedFusion Hot Failover will immediately and seamlessly switch traffic to another available tunnel and back when the connection is back online.
EssentialCare is a subscription available for all Peplink products, EssentialCare includes the standard product warranty, InControl2 access, firmware upgrades, technical support and standard RMA.
Bandwidth Bonding combines data at the packet level, enabling you to combine the speed of multiple connections. This superfast tunnel provides the best connection for critical data that needs to be sent or received as quickly as possible.
You can register your device by creating an InControl 2 account and adding the device using its serial number. Once added, the device will appear in your organization dashboard. Frontier EU can assist if you need help onboarding multiple devices.
Yes. Any Peplink device can be added to your own InControl 2 account, regardless of where you purchased it. Simply sign up for an account and enter the serial number of your device. There is no need for your reseller to register it on your behalf.
Yes. The previous InControl platform and InControl 2 operate independently. Devices that were registered on the older system must be added again in InControl 2. If you need to migrate a larger fleet, Frontier EU can support you during the transition.
InControl 2 access is included for devices that are under warranty and running supported firmware versions, which means Firmware 6.1 or higher for routers and Firmware 3.4.1 or higher for AP One devices.
For devices that are no longer under warranty, paid one year and two year InControl 2 subscriptions are available for selected models. These subscriptions include access to InControl 2 and firmware upgrades. They do not include hardware warranty coverage.
If a device is out of warranty and does not have a valid InControl 2 subscription, it will appear as inactive even if the unit is operational. If you don’t have an active subscription, run a ping test from the device to ac1.peplink.com. If the ping succeeds but the device still appears offline, you can contact Frontier EU or consult the Peplink community forums for troubleshooting.
Your device will stop appearing as online once the subscription expires. However, you will still be able to access historical device reports and stored data from before the expiration date.
Make sure outbound traffic is allowed for UDP Port 5246 and TCP port 443. These ports are required for communication between Peplink devices and the InControl 2 cloud.
At Frontier EU, we combine reliable hardware with personal service. We go beyond the standard, delivering quality that stands out, building connections that matter, and exploring every new frontier in connectivity.
