All Peplink products are divided into three main categories: Blue-Chip, Velocity and Volume-Based Series.

On a single screen, you can push configurations to all your hardware. With InControl, you can save configuration time, stay updated on the status of your network and proactively troubleshoot problems quickly and accurately.

InControl 2
How do I register a device in InControl 2?

You can register your device by creating an InControl 2 account and adding the device using its serial number. Once added, the device will appear in your organization dashboard. Frontier EU can assist if you need help onboarding multiple devices.

I purchased my device through a reseller. Can I still register it in InControl 2?

Yes. Any Peplink device can be added to your own InControl 2 account, regardless of where you purchased it. Simply sign up for an account and enter the serial number of your device. There is no need for your reseller to register it on your behalf.

My device was registered in the old InControl system. Do I need to register it again for InControl 2?

Yes. The previous InControl platform and InControl 2 operate independently. Devices that were registered on the older system must be added again in InControl 2. If you need to migrate a larger fleet, Frontier EU can support you during the transition.

How much does InControl 2 cost?

InControl 2 access is included for devices that are under warranty and running supported firmware versions, which means Firmware 6.1 or higher for routers and Firmware 3.4.1 or higher for AP One devices.

For devices that are no longer under warranty, paid one year and two year InControl 2 subscriptions are available for selected models. These subscriptions include access to InControl 2 and firmware upgrades. They do not include hardware warranty coverage.

My device is active, but InControl 2 shows it as offline. What should I do?

If a device is out of warranty and does not have a valid InControl 2 subscription, it will appear as inactive even if the unit is operational. If you don’t have an active subscription, run a ping test from the device to ac1.peplink.com. If the ping succeeds but the device still appears offline, you can contact Frontier EU or consult the Peplink community forums for troubleshooting.

What do the different InControl 2 user roles mean?
  • Dashboard Viewer: This role is limited to viewing the organization dashboard. Useful for publicly accessible or monitoring only scenarios.
  • Group Viewer: This role can view information for a specific group, but cannot make any changes.
  • Group Administrator: This role can view and modify settings for a specific group.
  • Organization Viewer: This role can view data across the entire organization, but cannot modify configuration.
  • Organization Administrator: This role has full access to the entire organization, including viewing and editing all settings.
What happens to my data when my InControl 2 subscription expires?

Your device will stop appearing as online once the subscription expires. However, you will still be able to access historical device reports and stored data from before the expiration date.

How do I configure my firewall so InControl 2 traffic can pass through?

Make sure outbound traffic is allowed for UDP Port 5246 and TCP port 443. These ports are required for communication between Peplink devices and the InControl 2 cloud.
