Not having my photographer hands and fingers chewed upon by black flies was a small win.
While traveling thru the various back roads I happened upon a flock of thirty or so Robins.
I met up with a photographer who knew the secrets of Viera Wetlands. He convinced me to walk the extended 2-mile loop and at the back of the park, we saw this wonderfully colorful Hooded Merganser preening, foraging and swimming about the reeds and secluded waters of this memorial wetland.
