How do I make a donation?
The easiest way to support our work is to donate online or call us at 204-289-2003. You can also call toll free at 1-866-828-9209.
What is a tribute gift?
A tribute gift is a meaningful way to recognize someone special and make a contribution to human rights in their name. Celebrate a special occasion or express your appreciation for a loved one by making a tribute gift in their honour or in their memory.
We will send a card or e-card with your personalized message to the person being honoured.
How do I make a tribute gift?
You can make a tribute gift in two ways.
Online: If you would like to make a tribute gift online, you can select “In Memory Of” or “In Honour Of” on our online donation form. From there, you can select an e-card or physical card. You will be able to input the recipient’s contact information and a message. The message will be sent to the recipient in the manner you selected.
Over the phone: If you would like to make a tribute gift over the phone, please call us at 204-289-2003 and we will be happy to assist you.
Is there a minimum donation required to send a tribute card?
The minimum donation required to send a tribute card is $15.00.
How do I make a monthly gift?
You can make a monthly gift in two ways.
Online: If you would like to set up a new monthly gift online, you can select “Donate Monthly” on our online donation form.
Over the phone: If you would like to set up a new monthly gift over the phone, please call us at 204-289-2003 and we will be happy to assist you.
Receipts
How will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
You will receive a tax receipt for any gifts $5.00 and above. We will send you the tax receipt by mail following your donation. We require your mailing address for this purpose.
If you prefer, you can request a consolidated receipt for all donations made in the year. Consolidated receipts are sent by the end of February for the previous year’s donations.

I can't find my original donation tax receipt. Can I request a replacement?
We are happy to help you with a replacement tax receipt. Please call us at 204-289-2003 or email info.friends@humanrights.ca. To assist us with your request, please provide us with your full name, address, and the approximate date of the donation.
