The Performance Stream is designed to develop well-rounded freestyle athletes through a clear progression pathway, professional coaching, and a strong team environment.
The Performance Stream includes five programs:
- Junior Development Team
- Development Team
- Performance Team
- Mogul Team
- Big Mountain Competition Team (NEW – U15 & U19)
Athletes are placed based on commitment, work ethic, coach recommendation, and team fit — not just skill level.

Training Structure
- Winter: Primarily weekends + Fridays available
- Spring: Focused development camps
- Summer: Building Air Awareness + Air Skills
- Fall: Trampoline Training + Development Camps either Airbag or On-Snow
Athlete Placement
Placement is based on fit, attitude, and readiness.
- Minimum ages support strong team dynamics
- Flexible placement based on development and goals
- Athletes may move between programs as they progress
- Athlete attitude and drive primary points reviewed by staff
Registration
- Application is an expression of interest only
- Does not confirm placement or commitment
The club will follow up to assess:
- Athlete readiness
- Program fit
Important
- Athletes are strongly encouraged to register for Spring Sessions
- Provides early exposure to Performance coaches and supports placement decisions

Competitions are used as a development tool.
- Entry level: Timber Tour (BC events) & IFSA 2*
- Progression to:
- Provincial Series
- IFSA 3* & 4*
- Canada Cup

Participation varies by program, with a continued focus on skill development over results.

Junior Development Team (12+)
Overview
Entry point into the Performance Stream focused on building strong fundamentals.
Training Focus
- Park and moguls exposure (typically 50/50 or 60/40 split depending on athletes preference)
- Air awareness and foundational tricks
- Building confidence across disciplines
Program Structure
- Primarily weekend training
- Optional Friday training
- Optional spring summer, fall training opportunities with Year-Long Option (80+ training days)
- Small group coaching
Competition
- Optional
- Includes competition simulations and preparation
Development Freeski Team (14+)
Overview
Increased structure, training volume, and technical progression.
Training Focus
- Progression toward advanced tricks and doubles
- Airbag, trampoline, and water ramp training
- Increased independence and accountability
Program Structure
- Expanded training schedule and camps
- Optional Friday training
- Optional spring summer, fall training opportunities with Year-Long Option (100+ training days)
- Year-round training encouraged
Competition

Performance Freeski Team (16+)
Overview
High-performance pathway for athletes targeting national and international competition.
Training Focus
- Execution and consistency
- Athlete ownership and accountability
- High-level skill refinement

- ~120+ training days annually
- Full year-round program including:
- Trampoline
- Water ramps
- Airbag camps (e.g., Mt. Hood)

Development Mogul Team (12+)
Overview
Dedicated mogul pathway with strong technical and competitive focus.

- Mogul technique, speed, and line choice
- Aerial progression and execution

- Consistent access to mogul-specific terrain
- Year-round development opportunities

Big Mountain Competition Team (U15 & U19 Teams)

Freeride-focused program for athletes developing advanced terrain skiing and competition skills.

- Decision-making in complex terrain

- Training volume similar to Junior Development and Development Teams
- Small group coaching (approximately 4 athletes per coach)
- Structured competition preparation
