As in the original game released in 1994 by Microprose, you start in 1492 and your object is to Colonize America.

FreeCol is a turn-based strategy game which will give us hours and hours of fun. We'll begin with one Vessel and two colonists and we will have to build a powerful nation. Take advantage of everything surrounding your position. Send your ships to Europe in order to sell your goods.

Choose your politics and the way you'll treat people, because the future of your nation is in your hands.
