Team Make-Up: Teams must consist of 2-4 students who are currently enrolled at an Ohio Community College. Students may not participate in more than one team and each team may only submit one project.
Deadline: Projects must be submitted through DevPost by 9:00am EST on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Judging: Each project will be judged by a panel of 3 - 5 judges according to the posted judging criteria. Teams will receive their own ratings and feedback only. Judges' ratings will not be made public.
Media Release: Franklin University reserves the right to share the name and school affiliation of students in the top three teams in press and social media posts related to the hackathon.
Intellectual Property: Students retain all rights to their project materials.
Scholarship Prizes (This section updated 3.25.21):
All members of teams who earn at least 70 points out of the 100 point judging rubric are eligible for a part-time cholarship (up to 6 credit hours) for four semesters to Franklin University. All members of the team with the most points are eligible for the Grand Prize of a full-time scholarship (up to 12 credit hours) for hour semesters to Franklin University. These scholarships are redeemable upon completion of an associate's degree at an Ohio community college and subsequent enrollment at Franklin University in an undergraduate degree program. Students must enroll at Franklin University within 3 years of receiving the award (by March 28, 2024) to redeem the scholarship funds. Upon enrolling at Franklin University, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to retain the scholarship for all four semesters.
