We do have commission setting by Admins for every sale the seller makes in Auction plugin. A wonderful feature
Similarly, can we have commission based system where any sale made by seller (via add to cart or make offer), the admin/site owner takes a certain % commission.
Example:
With new feature suggested, Admin has made site setting of 10% commission for every sale.
Buyer makes purchase of item for 100USD and pays via gateway.
It will be something like 100USD Item, 5USD shipping, 1 USD tax, so seller pays 106USD.
Commission will only be on the item .i.e. 10% of 100 USD = 10USD
Moment seller see the new order (without customer details, only order items), he makes the 10% payment via link
Post successful payment, seller can view the buyer details and despatch order
Why commission?
To cover the cost bared by the site owners charged by the payment gateways that falls in 3%-7% approx charges for each transaction.
