Because the marketplace I have built is at an early stage, we initially seed the platform with basic business listings using publicly available information (business name, category, city).
These listings act as placeholders only. No products, prices, or private data are published.
Each listing includes a “Claim this business” option, allowing the verified owner to take ownership, update details, or remove the listing entirely.
This model is commonly used by directories and marketplaces to solve the cold-start problem while still respecting business ownership and data control.
