  • I added my desired mods, and WeidU thing for the first time ever to my crappy old XP system. It was a task and a half creating that hard link, all said and done I got the mods to work in game. Now fast forward about 4 months and notice the screen cap I attached, this is now a laptop running Windows 10. Its possible, that t…
  • https://www.beamdog.com/about/client_legacy Right here is the solution for anyone experiencing same problem as me. The legacy downloads are found there for the 1.8 XP client, as well as the BG games themselves. Cheers,
  • I am in fact using XP, yes! I never had a problem before though. In fact, the only reason I am concerned to begin with was a few weeks prior the launcher was indicating I needed to update to latest patches. (Shaman is new since I played last for example.)
  • Elminster! I can relate to this exact problem the OP is experiencing. I contacted help desk with an in depth issue report and screenshot. I feel as though my explanation may have been horrible, as the solution was far from successful :(. To start, I can sign into the beamdog launcher np. It shows both of my purchased…
  • Okay, thanks. I'll have to give it a shot after work, maybe start out with the simple compatibility choices like the armor/weapon, mage stuff and 2 NPC before the content mods... I assume that WeiDu is a program that has to be installed as well correct? Plus most of those I seen exe in the rar files so I'm good on that…
  • This question has quite possibly been answered, (several times.) However, I am far too lazy to read every comment and find of page turned no results. Yet, I digress. How is damage calculated? Is it based off of dexterity for chance to hit etc? Is the damage multiplier based off of strength? Considered a melee or ranged…
  • Okay, I will take a look at that thread later on. I will also, (kind of hope not) try to re create my error and fart around with it to show the crash window. There is no log anywhere that would save crash notifications for the game on my HD is there? I know its a crash due to the beep sound I get when it crashes. There is…
  • Don't buy through steam!! Support Beamdog as close to 100% as possible!! :) You guys did fantastic job with Baldurs Gate EE... Only expecting great things with the 2nd!! Bugs are expected, you guys have done wonders addressing and implementing fixes.. Kudos
  • In conjunction with importing custom portraits... I have some that are not properly sized and need ot be resized. I manually did it on a few, which I used paint. However to do that was a gruelinig process, are there any tools or programs out there that assist with resizing a photo while keeping its texture quality? Like…
  • @LiamEsler I WILL THROW MY WALLET AT YOU.... Loud enough, or just plain obnoxious? Hehe Furthermore, I seen you mentioned Post-Release, I am sure this has occurred to you and the development team. However, incorporate new ideas/NPC's/quests/etc. into BG:EE for some replay and incentive to carry over your character? :)
  • http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/8413/bgee-custom-portraits-dropbox-lets-compile-them-all-here-1300-sets-now-with-soundsets-section/p1 I can't access, says I do not have permission O.o
  • Somewhere above in this thread I believe someone commented the appropriate sizes.. Thanks bunches!
  • When do I apply L,M,S? I'm unsure how that applies as in game I only see the portrait on the right, and engaging in dialogue I believe the portrait is same size? Or, do I need to add one of each (An L,M and an S) and the game sorts out when to apply each one?
  • Makes sense to me, I understood to rename a custom portait with a real NPC name (Max 8 letters in their name) with L,M,S at the end (respectively) and that would replace there portrait in game... Now, is it effective only on new play throughs or if I load a saved game it would just 'replace?" One more inquisition, in what…
  • Furthermore, are we able to edit an NPC's portrait file and alter it to a custom one? (No modding involved, as this point I do not want to mod BG:EE period)
  • "However, one thing--I want the PC portraits to be COMPLETELY SEPARATE from the portraits given to companions. I do NOT want to be able to select a portrait that would be assigned to a companion. This drove me NUTS about Baldur's Gate when I found out that I'd made MY character look like Jaheira and now Jaheira looked like…
  • I did the same with Imoen... When she levels up and gets that other skill point... I (recommend as well) put it in crossbows, since it now incorporates both small and large... Then venture over to Thunder Hammer Smithy (The guy that crafts Ankheg armor) in Bereghost and purchase that small Scyther for her.. Just be sure to…
  • Far as I recall, Bullfrog went out of business, which resulted in a cancellation of DK3... However, I believe that EA purchased or maintained (I'm not sure which) the rights to DK... Seems like they retain/purchase the rights to many titles that fall short when their developing company files chapter 7.. With no intent to…
  • Haer'Dalis (or party elf, I do not often take that tiefling with me) In regards to this portrait.. If I use it in BG:EE 2 will Haer'Dalis automatically choose another one? Like in vanilla BG (If I recall correctly) If you select a character's portrait they will by default have another one. I know this portrait is slightly…
  • Thank you good sir, now to 'aquire' and implement them
  • Okay, don't flame me for being naive xD... How do I go abouts obtaining these portraits, (or any I find on the forums?) A simple Rught+CLick and Save Picture? If so, do I need to edit their scale value at all? Beyond that... Where do I place them so that I may use them in game? I do not recall seeing a 'Custom Portrait'…
  • Too bad I lack that photo document we call a passport :(
  • I prefered DK:1 over DK2 so much, I also didn't invest too much time in DK2, again wasn't overly impressed with the game. At this point, I don't even remember what it was that turned me off for that game though.
  • I currently have in my group, Cavalier (CHARNAME), Imoen, Kiven, Neera, Branwen and Rassad. I rarely use any spells from Branwen period, as I am currently scouting the non essential zones and most creeps are easily dispensable without the use of cleric buffs/debuffs. However, morei nline with your question, I have 2 cure…
  • When are we going to be able to pre-load BG:EE 2? I am so pumped I would throw an extra wad of cash to get an early release!! Haha, thanks for replies in advance! Unlike other forums, I do not see an option to 'fast forward' to the next dev post.. Without naming any other applications I am sure everyone can figure out what…
  • Good to know, thanks
  • Oh man, I never even factored that into theory. I mean also from a roleplaying aspect, some who are resurrected lose their memory or suffer minor to major amnesia. I will definately use this when leaving a wake of destruction as an evil Sorcerer. Or I could just stray from a total path of destruction?
  • Well that's fubar, with all the mods floating around I am sure there is something.. However I like to keep BG mod free lol.. Thanks man for a rapid insightful response!
