I'm resurrecting this thread, not that I have anything new to add to it but rather to instire modders to import a feature from one game to the other. Threads like this has come up on multiple occasions over the years and for good reasons. Perhaps not planned from the very beginning but the two games share a continuing…

This should be in the manual or prehaps in the SoD Field Report.

I recently found out about this mod and was glad, ToB needs more content and this mod seems promising. Although, before installing something I want to know what to expect of it. I take it that the review I read is not accurate concerning the need to travel with her for some time before her quest starts. So, if you recruit…

 I really like when someone adds content to the ToB part of the BG saga, so thank you for this addition to the game. I read a review of this mod that says "Before one can reach the true beginning of this quest, however, you must travel with Juniper for a time."…

Yes, a mod for ToB! :) ToB defenitly needs som additional content and here is one. I wich more modders added content to the ToB part of the game, thanks morpheus562.

Thanks. A third question (hopfully the last). Isit possible for a user/player to keep the mod purely for ToB by preventing Hobart Stubbletoes from spawning in SoA (and SoD); perhaps by inserting /* and */ in some files for WeiDu to skip that part? In that case where? Thanks again, really appreciate your work, and your…

Hi! Great thing, this! Two questions 1. Difficulty scaling? I have read in this thread that the mod scales in difficulty (presumably by character lvl). How? I am not referring to items or loot but to a challenge for high level characters. Can't find anything in the readme. I'm looking for mods to expand the ToB part of the…

Thanks @Zaxares So, the story about his heads has been left vague in D&D lore. I've heard he was the first tanari to sprung forth from the abyss, but I've not heard anything about his heads; now I know. I assume, then that he has always been that way. Thanks!

This mod is coded to work with SCS - Great! It is also for EE - also great! Question - Is Tactics Remix compatible with the classics, with BGT? The original Tactics is mostly incompatible with SCS. So, if I want both Tactics and SCS then Tactics Remix is the mod to use. I usually play BGT, hence my question about BGT…

Impressive! Very impressive work! I’m usually not interested in UI-mods but this seems to be something special. I encourage you to finish it. I also encourage you to make it compatible with the very practical Bubb’s Spell Menu mod.https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/68958/mod-bubbs-spell-menu-v4-5-4#latest Again, this is…

Thanks! So, according to D&D lore it's he/him. But what's the story behind his heads? Is there a story by the way, or is he just that way?

I don’t mind chatting with Elminster, Drizzt or anyone else. The presence of these famous ones adds a feeling of importance to the story. It’s just that Elminster’s letter appears to be added just to get Elminster connected to the protagonist in some way. I guess, the developers in the 1990-tees wrote a story and developed…
-
Interesting discussion! I will ask one related question about the letter and its author. Is Elminster necessary? He sends a letter to Gorion urging him to leave Candlekeep with his ward, the protagonist, then approaches the protagonists a few times delivering some comments. Although he doesn’t seem to have any significant…

Always good to have more options on how you want to play your game. Thanks! I would like an option to personally set the XP cap of the different parts of the game; ToS, SoD, SoA and ToB. That way a player can control the level advancement of the characters and thus the flow of the game somewhat, as fits his or her play…

As the comments show, there should be more alternatives in the poll. Story and a balanced (i.e. mixed) party composition usually are key factors for me. Then, I pick them by alignment and personality; I also prefer characters with some reasons to join the party. I might on occasion switch a few in and out, as the story…

Not at the moment, RL prevents me from gaming. Can try in some weeks or so, sorry.

How about a minimum stat play-through? Reduce the protagonist's stats to minimum and start playing. In the beginning of the game stats makes a difference, but as it proceeds they become less important as there are many stat boosting items.

Yes, Bloodline would capture it, good suggestion. Although, @Chronicler has a point. Already at the start you are exposed to Aluando's prophecies and would probably quite quickly guess your background. If these early clues were moved to other (later) locations, then "Bloodline" would be a good name. But now I'm rewriting…
-
The name doesn't matter, you mean. Well, yes, perhaps not as much if you know the franchise. A name of a novel, movie, play... or game sets the tone and invites (or not) people to it. For starting something a good name helps. I would like to name the game Bhaalspawn or Bhaalspawn saga with sub-titles as proposed above.…

Why isn’t universalist an option? I know, it is not strictly speaking a school, but it’s what I always go for.
-
I believe it is a representation of the protagonist’s double nature with a divine and none-divine soul. It could be an elaboration of the above, representing the protagonist’s choice of embracing his/her inheritance as a child of Bhaal; whether letting the essence of Bhaal flow or resisting it… or something. This…

Thanks for the reply but was referring to an unmodded game. Now, when the subject is up again: Does anybody know of any Tiax-conversation with non-party NPCs?

Shall we trust Volo’s guide? This thread reminds me of something I’ve wondered for some time: The anatomy of a beholder. What’s behind the eye and the mouth? Can’t be much room for anything else. Do beholders have a digesting system, a brain? … Hmm, if this is on my mind, then I must have played too much BG. :/
-
No BGT compatibility, too bad. I still hope, though, some components in the future many work with BGT. Good luck with your work.
-
I'm looking forward to this mod. Have a question, I'm playing both EE and BGT, will EoW (or at least its main components) be compatible with BGT? It would make it possible for the mod to reach a larger audience.
-
Interesting mod. It adds reality to the game, as well as consistency, as without it you can carry several dead bodies around but not those of your party members. Guess that was a gameplay issue when they developed the game, but sure odd from a role playing perspective. This mod remedies this. Good work Gunman.

Returning to the forums after a long hiatus and find this thread. It is interesting, talking of bad things of a great game. Nothing is perfect, not even BG2. Here are a few things I find could have been done better. ● BG2 is created in a narrow way, not leaving much room for exploration. Quests are given to you and someone…

Good mod this is. I have always felt there are too many joinable characters in the game.
-
Glad someone made this. I have had similar thoughts for some years but never gotten the time to delv into modding and making it myself. Thank you!

I really, really like this. Thank you.
