Therapeutic Residential Care

Rooted in Quality. Driven by Purpose. Committed to Children.

Welcome

To The Forge

Nestled in the heart of rural Warwickshire, we provide purpose-designed therapeutic residential care for children and young people between the ages of 6 & 18 years of age who have experienced early disruptions in their development (including EBD, SEMH). Our community comprises four spacious, detached six-bedroom homes, each thoughtfully designed to offer a safe, nurturing environment where children can heal, grow and thrive.

Adam Wells - Managing Director - Forge Care

"Forge Care isn’t just about providing care — it’s about belonging. Our purpose-built homes and community spaces have been carefully designed to create a therapeutic community where children feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for. Everything we do is about creating a place where healing begins, trust is rebuilt, and every young person can grow with dignity and hope."

Trauma-Informed

Care

At Forge Care, our Trauma-Informed approach is deeply embedded into every aspect of our care. Led by our in-house clinical team, headed by Melissa Chauhan, we ground our practice in evidence-based understanding of Attachment, the Neurosequential Model, and Developmental Trauma. These foundations shape the Therapeutic Parenting we provide and help us meet the unique needs of each child and young person.

Every child and young person is offered access to therapy and life story work—tailored to their individual readiness.

Being trauma-informed at Forge Care is not simply a model or a framework—it is our daily practice.

As Melissa explains:

“For us at Forge Care, being trauma-informed isn’t a strategy—it’s a way of being. It lives in our environment, in our adults, and in every young person we care for”

Theraputic

Life Story Practitioners

We believe that understanding the past is a vital step toward personal growth. This specialised approach helps each child make sense of their personal journey, exploring their experiences, identity and the events that have shaped their lives.
