Monsanto weedkiller glyphosate no-cancer-risk story pedaled by pharma pal, Reuters

28 02 2018

THE STORY

Reuters – The World Health Organization’s cancer agency says a common weedkiller is “probably carcinogenic.” The scientist leading that review knew of fresh data showing no cancer link – but he never mentioned it and the agency did not take it into account.

By Kate Kelland

” . . . Previously unreported court documents reviewed by Reuters from an ongoing U.S. legal case against Monsanto show that Blair [epidemiologist from the U.S. National Cancer Institute] knew the unpublished research found no evidence of a link between glyphosate and cancer.”

Also by Kate Kelland

Emails from its own scientists show the International Agency for Research on Cancer failed to comprehensively review evidence on human exposure to the cancer-causing chemical benzene. The agency has not remedied matters, despite its findings being used in U.S. court cases and relied upon around the world.

Translation: It’s the benzene you were exposed to when you varnished your floor, not  the GMOs in your food making all these cancer cases.

Hmmmm . . .
That sure looks odd. Why is reputable Reuters dishing out these special reports absolving Monsanto of charges they are poisoning the public?
Let’s check for a big pharma connection to Reuters . . .
Oh.
Lookee her-r-re….

The CEO of Reuters, David Thomson , is “a non-executive director of Pfizer, Inc. He also serves on the board of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative and is a member of the Forum’s International Business Council, as well as on the International Advisory Boards of British American Business and the Atlantic Council”.

Hmmm-mm. . ..
Maybe here’s some big Wall Street deal involving poison-week-killer-in-your-food-Monsanto in the works right now. . . .
Oh.

” . . . The takeover, one of a trio of major deals in the agribusiness sector in recent years, would create a company with a share of more than a quarter of the world’s seed and pesticides market.

 List Of Monsanto

Here is a printable list of companies owned by Monsanto that consumers should avoid if they are concerned about their health.

There are several reasons that people are opposed to Monsanto, but among the top two are their involvement with GMOs and their corruption of the U.S. government.

One of the more outrageous schemes they pulled off in recent years was to ensure the passing of the “Monsanto Protection Act” that essentially prevented courts from prosecuting Monsanto over GMO-related health issues and was allegedly partly written by the company itself. Though the Act was only in effect for six months, similar bills have been signed into law that protect companies over consumers.

As for GMOs, many studies have suggested that genetically-modified food products can drastically alter the health of consumers in a negative way.

The number of Americans with chronic illnesses has doubled since…

On The ‘Monsanto Protection Act’ + Protest Report

26 05 2013

Louisiana Weekly
By Matthew Charles Cardinale

ATLANTA, Georgia (Special to the NNPA from The Final Call) — Food safety advocates are outraged over revelations that U.S. Congress and President Barack Obama approved an act that includes a provision purporting to strip federal courts of the ability to prevent the spread of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

The provision in the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2013 requires the U.S. Department of Agriculture to issue temporary permits allowing the continued planting of GMOs by farmers, even when a court rules that the agency erred in its environmental impact review of the GMOs.

The provision, which activists call the Monsanto Protection Act, is one for which the multinational corporation Monsanto has been lobbying Congress for at least a year. The legislation passed the U.S. House of Representatives on March 6 and the Senate on March 21, with Obama signing the legislation five days later on March 26.

Revelations of the provision, which was buried in the 587-page spending bill (HR 933, under Division A, Title VI, Section 735), have increased public awareness and interest in the issue of GMOs in the United States. . . .

Controlling the World’s Food Supply

26 03 2013

” . . .  (NaturalNews) At a biotech industry conference in January 1999, a representative from Arthur Anderson, LLP explained how they had helped Monsanto design their strategic plan. First, his team asked Monsanto executives what their ideal future looked like in 15 to 20 years. The executives described a world with 100 percent of all commercial seeds genetically modified and patented. Anderson consultants then worked backwards from that goal, and developed the strategy and tactics to achieve it. They presented Monsanto with the steps and procedures needed to obtain a place of industry dominance in a world in which natural seeds were virtually extinct.”

Monsanto = Calamity and famine!

Just remember Nixon’s first frontmen were distillers’ lobby who didn’t want a set aside of US grain to help post-WWII famine zones. They wanted the US grain and backed Nixon as the guy to quash the bill. They sent him to congress (from CA) and the rest is history. (see “The Arrogance of Power” by Sumners, Nixon bio)
