 Princess Diana killed by an attempt to ‘scare’ her that went horribly wrong, British lawyer says

A top British lawyer has made the startling claim that Princess Diana was killed by an attempt to frighten her that went tragically wrong.

Michael Mansfield insisted he is certain Diana’s “killers” did not intend to end her life in a violent Paris tunnel car crash in August 1997, but rather were just trying to scare her, according to the Daily Mail.

However, he said, the botched effort to derail her relationship with Egyptian multimillionaire Dodi Fayed and prevent her from criticizing the British government ultimately cost the Princess of Wales, her paramour and their driver their lives, the Daily Mail reported.

“I don’t believe anyone wanted to see her dead,” said Mansfield, who represented Dodi Fayed’s father at the inquest into Diana’s death.

“I think there was a plan to sabotage the relationship and alter her life, to try to stop her activities. … But this plan went very badly and ended with her death,” the Mail reported….(more)
