Chiltern Seeds

I normally receive copies of the new Chiltern Seeds main catalogue and veg book between Christmas and New Year but didn’t this year.  I still hadn’t by last week so presumed that they had got lost in the post.  I contacted Chiltern Seeds and they kindly sent me replacement copies which I received on Monday.  Needless to say I then  spent much of the day armchair gardening browsing  through them.

I always find plenty of seeds I’d like to buy but common sense prevails and I only buy the ones I really need.  I’ll let you know what once I’ve properly read them.

It’s been another mostly dismal and wet week apart from Tuesday when I not only looked round the plot but actually did some plotting for an hour or two.  I’ll tell you what I did in my next post on Sunday.

Have a good weekend, and take care!

  1. So pleased you posted a pic of the seeds catalogue. It’s playful with happy colours. On our dull gust- filled 2 days, ( not far off storm levels) it was delightful to see the source of your plotting, with the potential joys of what is to come.
Hope your weekend is good.🦋 Mxxx

  2. I get a wonderfully tempting seed catalog from a French company and I have bought plenty of seeds. However many seeds have failed to flourish and I realise now that I better off buying Swiss seeds, not because they are inherently better, but because they are better suited to my climate.
I live about as far East in France as it is possible to go , as many of the seeds in the pretty catalog are designed for the milder south or west of the country – so this year I am not succumbing to the catalog lure and buying from the local shop.
It is a shame ! I love a good catalog by the fire in January.
