Sadly Daffy‘s sunflower now looks like 1) but thankfully there are more on the way including 2) and 3) which seem to be singing Bring Me Sunshine.

This one clearly wasn’t told that it’s a ‘Giant Single’ Sunflower as it’s only a metre high with the flower being the size shown in this photo!

Flighty, these are delightful! Have seeds formed for the birds yet? I really like that rebellious sunflower 😉

After looking at your sunflowers, I’ve gone out to look at mine. I think the tallest is about 7 feet, with some others being of medium height, right down to short stemmed ones. I think I’ll make a blog entry of them now that I’ve been out in the rain to get the photos!
Sunflowers are well-named and certainly brighten up the place and I especially like the pattern where the seeds form.

Glo yours are taller than mine, which are only about 5 feet. Good idea!
They are and do! We often look at flowers and miss intricate details like that. xx

Love that last big shot, Flighty. Such an interesting pattern in the center of the flower too. The photo makes me recall the fields of sunflowers that you see on the road from Paris to Brussels. Miles of towering sunflowers all tilted towards the sun. They are very striking.

At least yours are still standing, my parents had a giant single until a local squirrel nipped the head off !!

Chippy most of them thankfully. We don’t have a squirrel problem on the site just everything else! Cheers.
