Plan A…

was to do my usual entry about wildlife programmes on terrestrial TV next week. However on buying the Radio Times and looking through it I found that there is nothing worth mentioning !

So on to Plan B. Yesterday whilst at the bookshop I drafted out some ideas for an alternative entry. All well and good until at home last night I realised that I’d left it behind and couldn’t remember enough detail to be able to redo it !

Moving swiftly on to Plan C. A good idea only there isn’t one! I’ve lots that I could write about but I’m sitting here drinking a cup of tea faffing around thinking about what I’m going to do on the plot later today.

My apologies to everyone who has stopped by here expecting to read a proper entry only to find me waffling on instead. Can I suggest that you have a look at one of my favourites entries. There’s lots to chose from and I would be very surprised if you can’t find one that’s interesting and informative.

One event that I’m sure you all want to know about is Welly Week! Mine are a very old pair of brown Derriboots which I don’t often need to wear but certainly did on Snowy Sunday!

Normal service should be resumed here at the weekend with Frog Ponderings(3) on Saturday followed by a Plot124 entry, probably on Sunday.

Have a good weekend !

  1. Welly week looks like fun! My daughter wears hers all the time. I tell her it is a fashion no-no but she is head strong… they are pink with the little ‘stop Look & Listen’ Hedgehogs on them! Having said that you can get some very funky wellies now!
Perhaps some of your visiting friends might like to browse here…

who offer free postage for welly week!
    .
We have had some snow again today… when I say we, I mean here in the region… I haven’t seen any and with a bit of luck I won’t see any! It is getting cold now though and yet it was bright springlike sunshine this morning!
Have a lovely weekend and keep the kettle on as I’m sure plenty of friends will still call in for the ‘chat’. (and to look at the wellies!) You get a good ambience here! That is priceless!

  2. Daffy it certainly does! Good for her, they sound very funky. You can indeed. Thanks for the two excellent links.
Snow! It’s been sunny here but with a cold wind so my planned couple of hours on the plot was a quick ten minutes.
You too! The kettle is always on and there’s always some biscuits to go round.
That’s nice to know, thanks! xx

  3. 🙂
I love wellies – but it’s been a while since I last wore some (I don’t even own a pair at the moment – haven’t needed some since solely wearing my toe-‘tector work boots for years and them covering me for most weather-types. It’s kinda cool there’s a wellie week – maybe I should hunt down a pair 🙂

Don’t worry about the entry – “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men Gang aft agley” as they say 🙂 besides, the story of the lack of entry is great itself. Enjoy your time on the plot, looking forward to the weekend stories

    Catch you later

  4. M hello! I’ve had mine ages but hardly ever wear them.
I feel somewhat of a fraud doing an entry about not doing an entry!
The wind was too cold today for much plotting so it’ll be Sunday before I get there again. Cheers!

  5. Spontaneity is good 🙂 An enjoyable read ~ I think the fact that you wrote something while thinking you wrote nothing is good fun. “Moving swiftly on to Plan C…only there wasn’t one” made me laugh.

Well, Welly Week, eh? By the sounds of the weather that should be a constant 😉 Brought back memories when I first came to Canada as a youngster. I arrived at a public school here dressed in my (UK) school uniform, my gabardine coat, and my wellies, talking with a Cumbrian accent no less. I seemed to be a rarity, an enigma of sorts… and each time I spoke, the kids would laugh their heads off. Now I have worn wellies since, but not often, and I’ve lost the accent too!

  6. PS We don’t “faff” over here, but we do “waffle”. Faffenwaffle ~ I think I’ve worked too hard today and I’ve gone a bit wonky…LOL

  7. Glo it’s nice to know it made you laugh! I’m sure that there’s something about wellies that evokes a lot of fond memories in people.
I’ve got pretty good at faffing around and waffling on over the years! As for going a bit wonky I’ve got that to come I reckon! xx

  8. Beginninghere hello and welcome! I suppose that it’s a bit like life when we have days when we have lots to do but just don’t feel like doing anything! The trouble with Plan C is that it’s not much of a plan, and can’t really be used here very often! xx
