Please note that I, and others, are having a few problems with WordPress.
Some comments that I made on friends blogs, including Daffy and Nikkipolani, have not appeared on the entries as they’ve been treated as spam! This has been happening with Purplephreak‘s comments for some time.
Daffy also lost her photos yesterday for no apparent reason, Nikki’s comments here over the past few days haven’t been linked when they should have been and last night I also noticed some hiccups with the stats.
I’ve emailed WordPress, and Akismet, about these and hope to receive a prompt response. Meantime if things seem a little strange here I apologise but it’s entirely due to circumstances beyond my control.
My usual Thursday entry will be posted this afternoon after I get home.

Yes Flighty they are just little niggles but they can be annoying.
Ah well, you can do no more than ask the questions and wait and see what the reply is. Thanks for mentioning my little problems too.

These are wildly weird problems. I will keep a sharp eye on the spam folder! I learned my lesson with 20six not to host my images with the blog host. Of course, hosting them at zoto didn’t turn out a heap of a lot better since they’re going under. But I hope Flickr will be more stable, being a much bigger outfit.

Nikki it seems odd that any WordPress bloggers comments should be considered spam.
Sorry about your photo problems but I’m sure that you’ll be okay with Flickr. xx

Though zoto is going under, at least my photos haven’t disappeared like 20six did when they had the conversion. I haven’t had much time to reload and relink images, but zoto doesn’t seem to be imploding quite yet *said veeeery quietly in case zoto hears me*

Flighty, you mentioned that you contacted WordPress. Perhaps summarizing the issues in their forums might help. Several other people are having Akismet problems as well.

That’s a good idea! I’ll do it over the weekend. I’m not surprised, but it needs to be sorted as no WordPress bloggers comments should be considered as spam surely.
