…still wondering!

Yesterday evening I rechecked the Radio Times to confirm that there are no new nature or wildlife programmes on terrestrial TV next week.

So I went to bed thinking about what to do in this entry, and to be honest I’m sitting here still wondering!

It’s Mothers Day here in the UK on Sunday but I know that some people, such as Daffy and Fabulous, understandably have very different feelings towards it. Anyway if you do want some ideas on what to buy then have a look here.

I’ve not seen many meme’s doing the rounds lately. Not that I mind as I’ve never been keen on being tagged to do them. However I like this one which I’m sure some of you will do as an entry. I might even do it myself sometime!

I’ve added The Big Sofa to my lawn loungers list this week. It’s not only the title, and byline In eternal pursuit of a nice cup of tea and a sit down, that I like but there are plenty of make-you-smile entries as well.

Lastly it seems that for this Robin at least spring is very definitely here!

Have a good weekend!

  1. Hi Flighty, I like your last link the best, I love robins. I could spend hours sitting here just watching the antics of my pair. Perhaps I can now I am unemployed! Pick 8 tunes, this would be difficult, I love most types of music, and my favourite songs and artists change from year to year, even month to month. No nature programmes, bad news. I shall be making my annual pilgrimage up to the crematorium with spring flowers for my Mum on Sunday. x

  2. Louise hello! I usually see the robin(s) on the allotment site, although I haven’t the last couple of visits.
I think that picking just eight tunes is difficult for most of us.
It’s always seems to be too many or too few wildlife programmes doesn’t it.
For you, Daffy and others Sunday must be a rather a poignant day. xx

  4. Rach hello, you’re most welcome!
It’s great isn’t it, have a look at today’s which is another one of him. I think that we’d all like to take shots like that!
Take care, and have a good weekend.

  5. (going back to front 🙂 – I love that link of the robin – and I’m impressed by the photographer. Whenever I’ve tried taking photos of robins just _standing_ in front of me, they always tease and fly off just out of camera range as I click the button – giving me just a bit of ground/fence/tree where the robin was. Thanks for linking in the “mothers day (seen through the stores)” photos – its interesting seeing all the stores make a grab for the commercialization of it all (seeing adverts on tv saying “get mum a nintendo ds and a brain training game” make me wonder – it’s probably a sign the average child has too much pocket money !! ) ; usually here though, it’ll be a small box of chocolates and a card; maybe a potted plant if I see some looking nice or flowers.

I’ve started doing the discs entries (it’s so hard choosing!); and I do seem to catch various nature bits and pieces – like the repeats of Coast etc; also the “BBC Radio 4 Best of natural history podcast” is always worth a listen

    have a good day there

You’re welcome, I’m always happy to mention and link to other blogs.
I saw your Desert Island Discs Part 2 which I’ll read properly over the weekend. Cheers!
