Ebbeh!
They have arrived. Two U of IBM rack-mounted goodness. One of the two was Debian'ed up from my original repository, then turned into the *new* repository. The other one was then installed from the first one. I have lost count of how many times, though, because the Fully Automated Install keeps trying to install grub onto the CD player. This, needless to say, doesn't work and the system barfs. More hacking to do.
The whole point of this exercise is that we should be able to re-install our boxes on a whim, so that we can start each of our experiments with a nice clean server.
And they pay me to do this!
In other news, it appears, pending confirmation, that our soggy cardboard boxes will be moved out of the loft with the kind assistance of
random_c, aligoestonz and happydisciple. There shall be much rejoicing. (And hopefully not too much swearing involved). Thanks youse guys!
