Noooooot sure if there is already a summary for this somewhere out on the interwebs, but oh well, I did it anyways. I've had no formal lessons in Japanese so if these suck, well... that's probably why. "Why attempt this then?" Because I felt that I understood enough to make a summary that will hopefully be better than nothing for people who don't understand any of it at all. That and maybe it'll teach me something, idk. Anyways, if you have corrections to offer, go ahead and spam me with them?
Also, I know that this person is already making subbed videos for the CD, but obviously it's slower because of needing to translate every single line and such. So I sincerely hope that perhaps this will tide you guys over until he or she releases the rest of the videos!
Note: Anything in italics or written in script form will bemy attempt at an actual translation. Even though I say actual translation, I don’t mean I’ll do a literal word-for-word translation because that would sound pretty awkward – I guess it would be more like a localization in that the meaning is conveyed more than the actual vocabulary they use? Anyways, this probably won’t be happening too often but just a heads up.
Maybe after this and if someone confirms my summaries aren't horrifically inaccurate I'll do the Vesperia anthologies. WE'LL SEE!

Ffff I haven't been online for awhile now, have I? >_o Life's been pretty tumultuous these past months, so wharrrrrrgh sorry 'bout that (if you guys are still paying attention to my journal??). Anyways, here's the actual post!
( Analysis under the cut in case of length.Collapse )
It's actually weird that I only realized this after I heard Mizuno talking about the summer breeze because it's really such a small line compared to, say, all of the maiden songs. ...Although I guess it's because I usually don't pay attention of the lyrics of insert songs because some don't really relate to the story that well/the dialogue is more important to read.
On another semi-related note, I kinda want to RP Takuto now that the series is over... although I feel like I should wait a little until the guidebook comes out and someone translates bits of it because there are still some things the show`s never told us (what the ef is Takuto`s first phase????).

Huzzah, so apparently spamming Namco's Facebook page actually did something! I have to admit was was quite surprised by this development. In any case, I probably won't buy the english version anyways (unless it includes bonuses or whatever, but I doubt it) because I'd rather spend the money on another game, but at least this means I can Youtube videos so that I understand more than 30% of the dialogue. Yay!
On a side note, I will lol if Yuri Lowenthal and Johnny Young Bosch are cast as Asbel and Richard, respectively.

Because I'm kinda tired of people getting the wrong names when they're written right there in English. (There's not even the excuse with Vesperia and Abyss that the cipher can be difficult to make out - Efinea's font looks exactly like Roman characters albeit written in a fancy, curly font.)
All capitalization and addition of hyphens were all me. Apparently Efinea's writing system has no capitals or punctuation - only very large spaces.
( Now with a cut because I forgot one before.Collapse )
Both the misc. ones were from the extra letter package order of Graces f - a scan of the letter was posted earlier on the Graces community. My thanks to whomever did it!
There doesn't seem to be anything official for Balkines/Valkynes/whatever else people call it, so anyone can take liberties with that. Also, Graces sure loves its research facilities.

When I first played the demo and saw that Richard had Lightning Blaster and Ignite Prison, I probably wasn't the only one who thought the developers were just lazy and decided to toss in those ones instead of making new spells for him. However, now that the full moveset is out, I think it was actually pretty clever of them to do so. Richard has one technique from every party member - similar to how Sophie has one B tech that mimics each member's fighting style. Considering how there is pretty heavy emphasis on the similarities between Sophie and Richard (primarily considering the concept of friendship and their difficulties with really understanding what it means), it seems appropriate that they also use the same method as a tribute to their friends. It's also a bit more touching in Richard's case as well; despite having been alive for 19 years, he doesn't have very many friends due to his precarious position. Adding in bits of their fighting styles is probably supposed to represent that they're pretty important to him.
Also, it's kind of cute to imagine each of the party members having a tutoring session with Richard to teach him a technique.

Code Geass costumes for Graces pffffff
Ahahaha.
Richard actually looks pretty fabulous, but I'm sad that Asbel won't have the cape (understandable, though). Sophie and Cheria look okay, but I guess it's kinda creepy (if you think about it) because C.C's costume resembles bondage...
