The Fish4Life app is a fundraising tool for participants in the Fish4Life network.(The app does not directly raise funds) The app allows the user to enter the intent for donations from people they meet who want to help those in need in Haiti. It also allows them to recruit other fundraisers into the Fish4Life network. It tracks all of their information, and gives the fundraiser information about Fish4Life. Fish4Life, founded in 2013 by Xander Peterson (age 12) and Beau Peterson (age 11), is a commitment to action under the Clinton Global Initiative. Its mission is to raise capital through a mobile network of youths to provide families in Haiti with the ability to sustain themselves economically. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere, and more than half of the population is malnourished. The funds raised by Fish4Life are provided to the Caribbean Harvest Foundation, founded by Valentin Abe, PhD (“Valâ€Â). Caribbean Harvest operates a unique economic development model that helps families living along Haiti’s largest lakes to support themselves through the farming of fish. The project gives participating families an immediate and sustainable way to generate income of approximately 200% of the average per capita income in Haiti. The Fish4Life app is designed to encourage kids to become global citizens, by giving them a way to directly and significantly impact those in need in another part of the world. “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.†App Features: •Use the app to raise funds for families in need in Haiti •Easily submit the intent for donations or investments to the Caribbean Harvest Foundation •Build your network of recruits who can raise more funds •Learn about Caribbean Harvest •By recruiting their friends to be part of this network or by finding donors or investors, kids can help change the world and make it a better place. * Please note that Fish4Life does not directly collect charitable donations within the app.
