Volunteers play an important role in supporting First Light’s work. You might be helping behind the scenes or supporting guest experience. No matter the role, your presence has an impact.
We value volunteers who show up with care and humility. This is about being respectful and aware of the space you are entering.

First Light Volunteer Guide
Many of our volunteer roles take place in spaces that carry cultural and emotional meaning. Some may include ceremony or moments of reflection. Others may be more public-facing. The guide helps set clear expectations for how to move respectfully in each of these spaces.

Volunteering is one way to connect with First Light, but not the only one! If you’re eager to continue your learning journey, we invite you to connect with First Light in other meaningful ways. Our experiential learning sessions create space to ask questions and deepen your understanding alongside our team, and our programs are always open to those who want to spend time in community. These pathways offer a chance to learn and build relationships in grounded and respectful ways.
