Welcome to the FinBilim FinTech Hackathon 2025! We're challenging high school students from around the world to build impactful financial technology solutions that solve real-world problems.

Whether you're passionate about democratizing financial education, improving banking accessibility, revolutionizing payment systems, or creating tools for financial inclusion, this is your opportunity to turn your ideas into reality.

Hybrid Competition Format:

Stage 1 (December 1-29, 2025) - Build Your MVP

  • Two full weeks to develop your Minimum Viable Product
  • Access to exclusive workshops with guest speakers from the FinTech industry
  • Flexible timeline allowing you to balance the hackathon with your studies
  • Submit a written response detailing your solution
  • Open registration - join anytime before the December 22 deadline!

Stage 2 (December 28, 2025) - In-Person 

  • 8 hours to prepare and deliver a live pitch deck presentation
  • Expert-led workshops to help you build the best product
  • Present directly to industry professionals and judges

Note: Participation in Stage 2 (in-person) is optional

Requirements

What to Submit (December 1-29)

All teams must submit the following on Devpost:

1. Project Title & Tagline
  • Clear, concise name for your project
  • One-sentence description of what it does
2. Written Response (Required) Your written submission should include:
  • Problem Statement: What problem are you solving? Who does it affect?
  • Solution Overview: Describe your MVP and how it addresses the problem
  • Technical Implementation: What technologies, frameworks, or tools did you use?
  • Real-World Impact: How will your solution create positive change?
  • Future Vision: What's your roadmap for this project beyond the hackathon?
3. Demo Materials
  • Video Demo (Strongly recommended): 2-5 minute video showing your project in action
  • Screenshots: At least 3-5 images of your project interface/hardware
  • Live Demo Link (if applicable): Working prototype link for judges to test
4. Technical Assets
  • GitHub Repository (if you coded the project): Link to your source code
5. Team Information
  • Team member names and roles
  • Contact information for team lead

  • Innovation & Creativity (25%)
    How novel and original is the solution? Does it offer a fresh perspective on existing problems? Is the approach creative and outside-the-box?
  • Real-World Impact (25%)
    Does the solution address a genuine problem? How many people could benefit from this solution? Is the impact measurable and significant? Does it promote financial inclusion or accessibility?
  • Technical Implementation (20%)
    Quality of code and technical execution. Appropriate use of technologies and tools. Functionality and completeness of the MVP. Is the solution technically feasible at scale?
  • Presentation (10%)
    Clarity of written response. Quality of demo materials. Professional communication. Completeness of submission.
  • Design (10%)
    Does the design enhance user experience and engagement? Is the solution intuitive and easy to use?
  • Feasibility & Scalability (10%)
    Can this solution realistically be implemented? Is there a clear path to scaling the solution? Have potential challenges been identified and addressed?
