Filter 3.3

The Filter is a music/movie recommendation service that works in pair with a plug-in for media players. It will be of interest to those who want to discover new music and keep up to date with news about their favorite artists. What this plug-in does is keeps track of the media you play in iTunes, Winamp, or Windows Media Player, in order to provide you with daily music/movies recommendations. After the setup, the plug-in analyzes your media catalog to collect information and provide accurate recommendations, so all you need to do is define the folder/folders where you store your media files. The only requirement to use the plug-in is to register an account on the site.

The Filter runs from the system tray paying attention to the music you listen (it works exactly the same with movies). Relying on your musical tastes, the plug-in is able to automatically generate playlists according to different criteria, for example, according to your preferred genres, or even to your mood. Right-clicking on its icon will give you access to the program settings; an example of these is an option to customize the playlists generated from the plug-in recommendation engine.

Additionally, using The Filter gives you the chance of being part of an online community where you can meet people with similar tastes, make friends, and share recommendations.
