I AM NOT A WRITER. Seriously, I can't write for shit.
I AM, however, an avid READER. Specifically, for the purposes of this journal, a reader of FANFICTION.
So. Here, I will be posting links to my favourite fanfictions, perhaps describing said fics, talking about what I loved etc. I'm thinking I'll have some masterlists for easy finding, and individual posts for anything I feel like raving about in more detail. We shall see.
I have no idea whether anyone is going to read this journal. I hope they do. I hope they comment on my posts and start interesting discussions about these amazing fics that I love so much. I hope they recommend fics for me to read and enjoy.
This journal is about storing and sharing links to fics, and enjoying them together. In that spirit, I'm very open to friending. No need to ask first (I've seen people ask elsewhere, I'm not sure if this is standard etiquette but it's not required here, so's you know).
I think that's all. For now, at least. I suppose I should go hunting for fic now!

Growing Pains by starrylizard - Gen, preseries. A hunt goes wrong, and John is deaged to a five-year-old boy. A teenaged Dean and Sam now have to figure out how to fix him. Rec.
The Radio Wedding 'Verse by tinalia - RPS J2 Pre-slash to Slash - Jensen agrees to let a radio station and his family choose his perfect match. My rantings of this fic's utter awesomeness here.
In Re: Last Night by Caos Accidentale - Gen, Team Fic, crackfic of the Christmas variety. Includes Mrs Mallard and Director Vance. Awesome, smarmy, just plain good.
Dear Abby by Caos Accidentale - Gen, Tony and Abby, set between seasons 5 and 6 while Tony is Agent Afloat. Postcards back and forth. Fun, warm, really great depiction of their friendship.
Gigolo by kikkimax - Really Gen, blink-and-you'll-miss-it not-really Slash, Tony and McGee go undercover at an escort service. This is long, meaty, and fantastic. Plenty of laughs, plenty of action.
Open Doors, and Other Invitations by shrift - Slash, Gibbs/DiNozzo, set late season 7. Tony discovers his gayness for Gibbs, in a very Tony-ish way. Not crack, but lots of great humorous lines that have a beautifully serious undertone, just like you'd expect from Tony and Gibbs banter.

My Names Michael by Fictionaire - Gen, Michael Weatherly is mistaken for Tony DiNozzo, confusion ensues. Features main cast, very cracky.
Writers Block by catwalksalone - Slash, McNozzo, meta fic. Tony and McGee discuss the writers keeping them apart.

OK. So, I obviously haven't posted about all the great fics I've read in AGES. I just keep getting lazy, and saving to my memories for later instead. NOT COOL. So, I'm making it my mission to try to catch up on these. If you check out my mems, you'll notice that the list of fics waiting to be posted about is LONG. There's over 100 fics there! So it's gonna take me a while. Anyway, here are a few now.

Okay. So, I was wanting to read Impala!fic that focused on how she feels about Dean in response to how Dean treats her. So I posted a request on spnstoryfinders. And I'm still reading through the recs slowly, but the most beautifulverse was very hesitantly self-recced, and I absolutely ADORE every word. The language is expressive, emotive, sensual, just incredible. This is officially my FAVOURITE verse EVER. And THEN, to top it off, the lovely author went and wrote another fic in the verse just for me!! I'm so completely grateful and feel nothing but undying love and adoration for this wonderful wonderful lovely person.
It's called The Sweetheart Verse by orange_8_hands and it's beautiful. Go and read and worship at her feet (I'm assuming it's a she, sorry!) because adequate adoration is seriously lacking for some strange reason... *iz confuzd*
Soooo, lately, I decided that the only RPF I'd read was J2, and thought, "Gee, I wonder if there's much RPF out there with 'canon' pairings??" And guess wot!!?!?!?!? There IS!! And some of it's COMPLETELY AWESOME.
Well, I'm certainly glad you're about, but I sure hope life's treating you better than just here and kicking... You're a lovely person and deserve good things in life. I hope you get them.
