what are you saying?

I really have no idea what just happened...

But we're back. Keandre just defeated one of the best swordsmen in the 'verse. Apparently the world has gone insane.

Admittedly Denver was drunk as a lord (excuse the pun), which in itself is confusing. No swordsman would risk his reputation so. My world has stopped making any kind of sense.

And now I need help getting Keandre to his bunk - he passed out after the duel and still hasn't woken up yet and he's too heavy for me to drag.

For the love of all that's holy...

Can the person playing the ukelele please learn something other than "The Ballad of Jayne"? It's getting tiresome. Not to mention I've had the song stuck in my head for the past week.

My.

Someone who looks worse than I did the other week. Care to borrow my best friend the ice pack, Simon?

My new best friend...

Would be the ice pack that's been switching between my face and my ribs. Merde, I need to pick my drinking places better.

Cargo

So, we've been here a week or two and it's time we started chasing up a cargo and a destination. I've been working my contacts, but they're pretty small-scale. Still, I've got some planet seeding supplies Huang salvaged from a colony ship that went astray wants moving to Whitefall. Only a couple of crates, but it could be a start.

So, anyone else got anything? We can do something of a round trip of the Rim worlds...

What's in a name?

The registration papers just came back today and the ship is now officially renamed "Lethe". Which is rather appropriate.

Now, who wants to volunteer to join me on the hull with paintbrushes to make the actual change?

you can't take the sky

This is your not-captain speaking...

We're about to touchdown in the Eavesdown Docks - ETA is thirty minutes. Jericho, Becky and I as keelplate owners gets the unenviable job of meeting with Badger to get his share of the proceeds - given he's provided the bulk of the money to pay for the ship, he gets first dibs. However, once we're done there, there will be an enactment of that quaint custom known as 'payday'. There won't be much, but you'll all get your share. Then we get back to the task of finding another job. Preferably one with less religious extremists and hanging in dungeons.

merde

Hmm.

This wouldn't be the first time I've wound up lying somewhere odd feeling bruised and with no memory of how it happened, but I have to say it's the first time I've ever wound up halfway up the wall.

Someone please tell me Keandre's on it? I'm on my way to check on the less-experienced spacers among us.

Thank you.

To those that came for us, to those that stayed with the ship. It was unexpected but extremely appreciated.

Our business is done here, and we've been paid. Now let's get off this rock.

This is _not_ a drill.

It appears we have a possible buyer for the side pods. All crew meeting in the mess area at 0900 local time.
