Why Fertility Yoga?
Fertility yoga has been shown to improve rates of conception and improve IVF outcomes.
When you practice fertility yoga regularly, you’ll experience reduced stress which results in better hormone balance and
better sleep. In this way – the body spends more time in the rest, digest, and reproduce side of your nervous system. Exactly where we want to be to conceive.
Because fertility yoga touches the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic realms of fertility, there is no need to run around to all those appointments.
Come to fertility yoga – it’s affordable, accessible, and you can do it from home.

Fertility Yoga FAQs
How is fertility yoga different from other styles of yoga?
Fertility yoga is on the softer side of yoga – where modern westernized yoga, like power yoga and hot yoga, are considered the harder sides of yoga – exercise focused. Where power and hot yoga are depleting to the body, fertility yoga nourishes and replenishes – exactly what we need when we’re trying to conceive. In a fertility yoga class, your teacher will be modifying for where you are in your cycle so that you’re safely boosting your fertility. You will do restorative yoga and slow flow pelvic centered movement focused on bringing blood flow to the reproductive organs. Read more here about fertility yoga.
Who is fertility yoga for?
If you’re trying to conceive, or thinking about trying conceive in the near future, fertility yoga is your best option by far. It is a practice that accommodates you, where you are in your journey. If you’re just starting out or into IVF treatments, these classes will support you not only the physical level, but also the mental and emotional level. You do not need to have any yoga experience to participate.
When is the best time to start a fertility yoga practice?
Fertility yoga will be most effective if you begin practice a couple months before doing an IVF treatment. However, doing some yoga at anytime is better than doing none! Yoga has a cumulative affect on your overall health on a deep level – which takes time and consistency.
How quickly can fertility yoga show results?
Many students report feeling more balanced and less stressed within 2-3 weeks. For fertility improvements, research shows consistent practice over 3-6 months can significantly impact hormone balance and conception rates. A recent study shows that to truly experience the deeper benefits of fertility yoga, a 6 week practice is recommended.
Can fertility yoga replace medical fertility treatments?
Fertility yoga is a powerful complement to medical treatments, not a replacement. Studies show it can improve IVF success rates by reducing stress and optimizing your body’s natural fertility processes. However, many people do get pregnant without intervention when consistently practicing fertility yoga as their bodies become more fertile when they see improvements in the mental and emotional health.
Is it safe to do yoga during an IVF cycle?
Fertility yoga is designed specificially to support you throughout your whole fertility experience and is extremely beneficial when you’re in an IVF cycle. Some modifications are recommended depending on what part of your cycle you’re in. For example, I offer a yoga program specifically for a Frozen Embryo Transfer that divides the cycle into 3 parts. This is why it is recommended to work with a knowledgable and experienced fertility yoga teacher while doing IVF.
Kerry and Fertile Body Yoga provide both an environment and the opportunity to connect with and reset your body each week. Physically, the movement feels nourishing, but, perhaps equally as important, the focus of each class feels spiritually nourishing during what can be a really depleting time. Both Kerry and the community of women in this class provide a space to take care of both your physical and spiritual self.
What does the research say?
In 2018, a major literature review of 87 studies showed that yoga can provide effective stress management for patients with infertility, as well as have beneficial effects on fertility. They concluded that yoga can help some couples overcome infertility and increase ART success rates by improving their physiological and psychological states.
